he is year 2 of a 7 year 140 plus million contract( OMG THAT LOOKS EVEN WORSE WHEN YOU TYPE IT OUT!!!! )which would leave him:
a.- good
or 3.- under team control

Maybe he will be worth a shit when he returns, you know who wasn't, Dice-K, who now looks to be headed back to the DL.

Freese is in the all-star game via "the final vote"...Chipper is taking Kemp's spot on the roster and Matt Holiday is taking Molina's spot due to a death in his family. Looks like Ruiz will be the one catching for R.A. Dickey.

We're losing to the Marlins right now. 36

thats cool i like how it worked out....sometimes tho i think they bring too many players into the all star game..they get to play max 2 innings or so...especially pitchers..waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many pitchers..

Maybe the much needed rest from the break will help.

Pittsburgh 48 37 .565 -
Cincinnati 47 38 .553 1.0
St. Louis 46 40 .535 2.5

...so odd seeing the Pirates up there. The first half coulda ended a lot worse for us, though.
