Delmon is lazy

He's a backup catcher...

Can you tell how desparate I am? lol

how is he hitting< I always liked him

Not bad really, slow start, but he's heated up in June. About .250 right now.

We already have Alex Avila, who can't hit but is a rock behind the plate, and Bryan Pena, who can, so Martinez IMO is expendable if we have to...
good character guy too, I wanted the sox to keep him, and I wanted them to keep beltre too when he was here, two very good players.

He had some hard luck, being out all last season, and I think that's why he had a slow start...

I think Cliff Lee may be on the  block this year - he's not happy

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/phillies/Cliff-Lee-would-like-to-play-on-a-winning-team-please.html

of course, in the one playoff game he's pitched for us since coming back, he dropped a 4 run lead and lost :|

Hmmmm....🆒interesting.......

Tigers take two of three from the Twins to end up with a 500 road trip, about as good as they're going to get I think.....yesterday was an interesting bit of coincidence trivia: Torii Hunter got his 300th HR off the Twins....his first HR came in 1999, as a Twin, against the Tigers...

bailey blows the save in the ninth, asshole....then gomes hits a 2 run dinger in the bottom of the ninth to win it.

great game by doubront, they needed a game like that to after the rain delay in the first game.

2 games, 2 wins Cool

it would be nice if the Red sox had a bullpen right now, they could have easily won 3 of 4 instead of losing 3 this weekend.

against a team with no bullpen of their own :|

Pap blew 3 saves this WEEK

the rest of the pen blew a 6 run lead in the 7th (they won that one though)

We pretty much need a do over I think.  It kills me to say it but its true.  Top to bottom - players, managers, GM - we just need to start over.

our closer cannot come into a game without giving up runs, he just can't do it, so now we have a guy who can't pitch on consecutive days filling in as our closer.

we started the year with 2 'proven' closers, one is in a sling and the other has danial barditis

Well that was a pretty good weekend for us....sorry VOD...3 out of 4 from Bosox...a liitle good luck was involved there, but we averaged 7 runs a game, so usually that will spell victories...we're still reeling from losing Valverde, probably for good...Verlander, I don't know WHAT's up with him...Cabrera's in a HR slump too...somehow everybody else is pitching in, and hitting in, though yay

I would rather the pen get the blowing games out of their system now, so come October they are killers!

yeah amazingly enough, actually gained a half game in the standings, Hopefully we can take the rockies for a couple and then cool the jets of toronto this weekend

looks like Buch is out til the fourth of july at least, but the starters have been doing pretty well, it's the late innings that kill us

so, what are the prospects like in your club? Despite what they say, I think Pap's gone.  Too many contenders could use him.  It'll be 2015 before we have a chance again.

I would rather Bucholz stays out until the break, no need to rush him back until he is ready.

maybe a reunion is in order. You probably should've just ante'd up in the first place 987

I hope they don't trade Lee but it doesn't make the most sense.

Word is that Utley and M. Young will probably go. Young I don't care about. It will be hard to see Chase somewhere else. But we do have a couple of 2b and 3b available to come up.

As much as Leyland's been maligned locally for tinkering too much, and pulling starters too soon, I think he's got a good hand on things...we have very few rookies really...some of the middle relievers are from Toledo....Holliday, who caught yesterday, is a backup for Bryan Pena, who was brought in to prop up Avila, who is off to find out where his head, and his batting, are at omg

We need outfielders who hit for power and relief pitchers who are ready to play now.

We are actually ok on starting pitching. 1B is occupado for the foreseeable future.

better than Delmon and his .220ish BA

rockies mashed 11-4, iglesias would need to go 0 for 51 to drop his average to 300. now if they can score some runs for Lackey, he'll be fine.

Pittsburgh has been great for the first half of the season, but like the last couple of years, they will probably tank after the All Star break.
