I only saw the first half hour so far...not bad...kinda a mixture of lots of different shows/movies...I see some Revolution....some oh what was the one, last season, where they went back in time to escape a polluted Earth..some Alien Nation...some Total Recall (like that night club/brothel)..some Mad Max... |

| Done. If I follow it I don't think I'll be sharing it with the family. Not with the sexual elements that's been done so far. It's just adult enough not to share with the kids. Over all it's good, yet old and predictable in the usual ways. Yeah I can see plenty of budget went into it while some moments still ended up kind of cheap looking. But that's to be expected with tv sci fi so no big deal. | |

| I was thinking one of those scenes (near the end) reminded me of Mad Max, or Escape from New York.
I liked it. I got to finish it today, The lady who played Eloise (older) on LOST is on there, she is still a meddling, controlling biotch, and a character named Rafe, was on The Green Mile, Dancing with wolves, and other shows and movies.

lol, I often feel that way, about shows I like. Apparently, mainstream tv shows, want fluff and no thinking be involved. I do watch fluff shows, but they are easy to watch. I need shows that make me think, and wonder what will happen next.

I'll bet! JJ, you're who I wanted to ask, I'm seeing if they're being regionally accruate..in the speech scenes, they show the mayor talking in front of a building with a plaque saying "Darby Building 1934". Is that a real StLouis location? Just wondering... |

| OK, so Nolan came back to help save the town, so he's all a hero....but I think the REAL reason he came back was so he could bag both sisters And just like an old time Hollywood movie...it's a case of the blonde against the brunette, and we know who always wins those duels The Dak Tars (sp) are gonna be a couple snakes in the grass, it's clear. |

| It's implied that 30 some years after the invasion, the Mississippi virtually dried up, I didn't see anything more than a little stream there, where it was supposed to be, running right in front of the Arch....I wonder what specifically the terraformers ( I think they were called) did to the earth...by all the space junk circling the planet, it must have been one helluva fight up there... |

| Terraforming is a scientific process that makes changes to a planets atmosphere, temperature, and it's ecology to make it more inhabitable by what ever species is trying to live there. It is being discussed to Terraform Mars to make it inhabitable by humans. | |

| No, that was accidental, their ships crashed on Earth, unleashing the Terraforming incident unintentionally. | |

Oh OK, I didn't follow all the initial narration..so when these old wrecks crash intermittantly, I wonder if they exacerbate the problem...can you imagine living with the teror of all those ships randomly crashing all over the world...no warning... |

| Yea, they came in peace because their galaxy was about to die, they needed a new place to live. They had no clue that the Earth was inhabited, some sort of sabotage happened and the ships started crashing. | |

so kinda like a bunch of geriatric aliens hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes and their ships came crashing into the planet then

That's what the narration meant in the beginning, wasn't it...that the planet didn't "belong" to anybody... |
