| I haven't watched last night's yet. But, I've watched the show since it debuted.
I generally like it, but last season, I think they over used the imaginary people he was seeing and talking to. It became quite a hokey plot device. This season promises to be better. |

| The Natalie girl I am not to sure about, or where they are going with her... I think she is his "wall" by having her there he is secure... but I actually really like the imaginary people, I think it is an interesting way of showing his thought process when figuring out who the killer is... _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

| Here's the bio for Natalie:
"Natalie Vincent (Kelly Rowan) is Pierce’s hallucinatory best friend and every bit his intellectual equal. According to Pierce's recollection, they met in grad school and although they dated briefly they have remained close platonic friends ever since. When Pierce meets Natalie's real-world counterpart, Dr. Caroline Newsome (also played by Rowan), the imaginary relationship he's always known becomes very real. But the line between reality and fantasy continues to blur as Pierce juggles relationships with the two"
I think he likes imaginary Natalie way more than the real Caroline. I like Natalie better myself too.
Natalie is his best friend and confident.
I don't know if you saw the episode where they explained the relationship between Natalie and Caroline. Natalie is his imaginary best friend who he actually based on the real life Caroline whom he saw briefly in grad school, but never actually dated her then.
Except for Natalie being imaginary, I think she's good for him. lol
There was a lot of controversy here about this show. Lots of health care professionals didn't like how they showed him refusing his meds. In some episodes, it seemed like they were condoning him not taking meds. Lots of uproar about that.

| I agree, Natalie gives him what he needs and wants, where as Caroline fights it because she doesn't want to be Natalie, when that's all he needs. I think that's why he still sees Natalie, because even tho he is with the real life counterpart he based her off of, she is not the same person.
I never heard anything about that, but I think its a little pre-mature, I think the show opens up the discussion of mental illness and although it may limit people it does not mean they can't contribute to the betterment of society. To me his reasons for not going on the medication are pretty logical, from his perspective, and likely very common reasons that people go off their meds when dealing with a mental illness. _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

| I haven't seen it yet. If I had to guess by the end of the previous epi, I'd say he's sticking with his imaginary friend. Things were shakey with the doctor already anyway. | |

| As far as people going off their meds, isn't that a valid concern in a lot of people? I think it makes sense for his character to address that. | |

| I agree that going off your meds is a valid topic to address. But, last season, I forget which episode, it was at the beginning, he was singing the praises of going off meds. And, sort of how if this was the real "me" off his meds, then that was what he was going to do.
I don't like this idea of the "real me without meds." Illnesses do sometimes require us to be on medication. Without meds, where would our diabetics be, for instance?
I do remember concerns when it debuted that doctors were afraid that some mentally ill people, encouraged by this show, were going to refuse medication. They were afraid that the show was going to be one big ad saying to the mentally ill- don't take the meds!
But, we will have to see how the show progresses. |

| yea I see what you are saying, and I think its always important to remember, even tho the show touches down on real life issues, it is just a show, and his condition could be considered severe because of his hallucinations, but they really aren't doing that much harm to him, they are helping him with solving cases, so people need to remember that the situation is a certain way so it can provide entertainment _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

| Well, I will agree that it is entertaining! It's not my favorite show or anything, but it is interesting. And Eric McCormack is doing a great job with this character. |

| they played the majority of the season up till the end of August.. than it went away for 6 months and is now back to finish airing the rest of the season. which is a whole of maybe 4 episodes... seriously how does any show last anymore.. you can't take 6 fuckin months off when you almost through a whole season... ugh!!! _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

| I looked on the cable renwal scorecard on TVline and for shows like Perception that go away mid season for 6 months the are listing the season as season 2 and season 2b... WTF!? there is a few other shows like that.. now they are splitting the seasons up!?!? these shows have maybe 12-14 episodes they do not need to be split into 2! They are ruining TV _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.
