never really thought it would be napoli, he has looked absolutely lost at the plate the whole series, maybe he gets a streak going now I left my dogs outside til the game was over, they can only take so much

| he was terrible, , but if pedey turns that double play they get out of the inning with just one run, could have been a different game
Congrats to the tiggers for taking advantage of the situation, they got hits when they needed them , the sox did not, the sox had some chances to pick up a run here and there and make it at least interesting, but never capitalized.
And like JJ, I will remain confident, and savor them taking the series at home instead

tough call there, but they will hit sanchez tonight, and lester won't throw up on himself like Peavey did last night. low scoring game. red sox win 2-1, and go home up 3-2

| look for Bogarts at third tonight, Middlebrooks gets the night off and they put him in at third, frankly I would rather see him at short and give drew the night off, but I bet it will be middy who sits | |

neither can drew, but drew is left handed and they will keep him in against sanchez, also look for gomes again in left field

a big black hole in the bottom of the order, either they come up with people on base and kill a rally, or there are 2 outs before a rally can even start. Drew had chances at least twice last night to make something happen, and was overmatched at the plate every time

napoli hit that ball a mile, in 50 degree rainy weather, imagibne how far that goes on a humid night in august. Great team win, Bogarts gets his chance and makes something happen, Ross hit well, and Hit the catcher pretty well too, Avila was not right after that hit, and then gets his bell rung by a foul ball, i bet he has a bit of headache this morning I have a damn wedding to go to tomorrow afternoon/night They better have a TV somewhere in that Hotel. It is in Vermont, so I imagine somewhere the game will be on.

| Lol, I had to go to the bar to watch last weekend because they didn't have it in my hotel. It looks like Avila is gonna be out!!I think they need to play all out in Game 6, I don't want to face Verlander in Game 7! | |

I'll find a way to watch parts of it, I'm sure i won't be the onlyone who needs to keep up with it. i expect a big game from buch. Everyone has been talking about how the Tigers have scherzer and verlander lined up for the last 2 games and how it will be to beat them, hell we ALREADY beat them in the 2 games they pitched. I agree though, i would prefer not to have to see verlander with everything riding on it. if you think it's been tough watching the Sox try to hit, how would you feel if you were a tigers fan watching their lineup of peralta, Cabrera, V-mart and fielder get pretty much shut down these last few games. I want a st louis win tonight and a red sox win tomorrow night, a few days off to regrow my nails, and a nice day on wednesday to start the series!!!

at least better in the sixth, he pitched pretty well for 5 innings last time, then became a BP pitcher when he came out in the sixth, farrel needs to make sure they have someone warmed up at any time after 5 innings there should be a guy ready to go in the space of 1 batter. this is for all the marbles and a chance to go to the WS, you need to be ready for anything and b able to stop the bleeding should it start fast.

I say let middlebrooks back in, and sit drew for this game, he needs to watch from the bench. Was kinda surprised to see victorino hit from ther left side last night, didn't help much but I figured he had given up that side of the plate. maybe he wanted the bruises from all the HBP's to heal up a bit LOL

| Ehh, I don't see anything else in their tank, to be able to win both of the next two games...the thing they need help with the most, is what I noted at the beginning of the season (I bet if I look back here I'd find it)....they need solid dependable bullpen help, and yes a real closer. They have hopeful guys like Albequrque and Smiley, but get rid of the rest....JMO opinion of course....what do you see as their weakest links? |
