| Congrats, Red Sox. It was an exciting series. Victorino made the same flying leap into the pile as he did the first time | |

I'm heartbroken. The Red Sox hit with RISP, they deserve to win since they actually scored. I think the pitching was great throughout the series on both sides, though. I couldn't be more proud of Michael Wacha.

| They said it was the Pirates year. We proved them wrong. They said there was no way we'd beat Kershaw twice. We did. Some thought Boston would just sweep as if we were no competition. They didn't. I guess I'm pretty proud of how well we did. | |

you should be proud of them JJ, they do it right. they have a great young team, and will be there again. wacha is gonna be a great pitcher, he's a kid, and the pressure got to him ( finally) To even get to a world series is quite an accomplishment. congrats to the Cardinals on a great season.

| Nothing to me will compare to watching them in 2004 winning the first one in 86 years. This however was the most fun team of the 3 to watch all season. Thanks Sawx for a great season!!!! BTW- about 13 weeks or so til pitchers and catchers | |

Your team will be back in it next year - you've got a great young group - they'll get better and better. The Sox just made their hits HR's - that does a lot of damage

as you might have guessed I did not watch see or hear anything MLB all year except for the awarding of the "trophy" on the sports highlights on TV after an awful hockey game.

| (BaseballStL) – St. Louis Cardinals fans have a reputation for being some of the smartest and most welcoming fans in the Major Leagues. That sentiment was echoed by the Boston Red Sox, who on Tuesday took out a full-page ad in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch to show their appreciation of the region. The top of the ad features of a photo of two young fans, one rooting for the Cardinals and the other cheering on the Red Sox. Below is a message headlined “From One Great Baseball Town to Another.” “On behalf of our partners and the entire Red Sox organization, thank you St. Louis,” the message read. “The warm Midwestern welcome you extended to our team and our fans during this year’s hard-fought World Series is truly appreciated. Your region, its people and the entire Cardinals organization represent everything that’s great about baseball.” The letter is signed by Red Sox Owner John Henry, team chairman Tom Werner and president Larry Lucchino. | |

| I think the Cards will be back in the thick of things next year, they have a great, young team and a front office pretty much second to none in the majors.
and great fans too!!! | |

| I also think the Red sox will be in the thick of it, though it will be tough for them to replicate the season they just had.
the core of the team will return, but they will also have some new faces that will need to perform in order for the Sox to be contenders again.
Looking forward to see what things change and what things stay the same for them in the off season.

yeah he had a great season and was probably the biggest reason why the cards got to the WS, though mccutcheon had a great year also, he had a couple more stolen bases than Molina

yadi should have been number 2, but sometimes, when you have a whole team performing well, which is what you really need to get far in the playoffs, individual accomplishments sometimes don't get the credit they deserve
