when did the Duck Dynasty get traded to the Red Sox?

as you might have guessed I did not watch see or hear anything MLB all year except for the awarding of the "trophy" on the sports highlights on TV after an awful hockey game.

(BaseballStL) – St. Louis Cardinals fans have a reputation for being some of the smartest and most welcoming fans in the Major Leagues. That sentiment was echoed by the Boston Red Sox, who on Tuesday took out a full-page ad in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch to show their appreciation of the region.

The top of the ad features of a photo of two young fans, one rooting for the Cardinals and the other cheering on the Red Sox.

Below is a message headlined “From One Great Baseball Town to Another.”

“On behalf of our partners and the entire Red Sox organization, thank you St. Louis,” the message read. “The warm Midwestern welcome you extended to our team and our fans during this year’s hard-fought World Series is truly appreciated. Your region, its people and the entire Cardinals organization represent everything that’s great about baseball.”

The letter is signed by Red Sox Owner John Henry, team chairman Tom Werner and president Larry Lucchino.

I think the Cards will be back in the thick of things next year, they have a great, young team and a front office pretty much second to none in the majors.

and great fans too!!!

I also think the Red sox will be in the thick of it, though it will be tough for them to replicate the season they just had.

the core of the team will return, but they will also have some new faces that will need to perform in order for the Sox to be contenders again.

Looking forward to see what things change and what things stay the same for them in the off season.

yeah he had a great season and was probably the biggest reason why the cards got to the WS, though mccutcheon had a great year also, he had a couple more stolen bases than Molina tongue

I disagree 1000000% but Yadi should have at least gotten 2nd. but whatever. We're used to constantly getting looked over year after year after out performing pretty much everybody.

yadi should have been number 2, but sometimes, when you have a whole team performing well, which is what you really need to get far in the playoffs, individual accomplishments sometimes don't get the credit they deserve

I think you have to give it to me, I tend to give credit where credit is due. McCutchen is great...Yadi is better.

All the news outlets say that you have to see Yadi play every day to know his value. Whatevs, I'm just a little mad about it.

yeah he did a great job with a young team and should have received some credit for that.

IMO Farrell and francona were neck and neck, I don't really have a problem seeing Tito win, it's the idiots that say because of the Red sox payroll farrell had an easy job.

WTF- they hadn't MADE the playoffs in four years and hadn't won a game in 5, with that ginormous payroll, there is more to being a manager than just putting expensive players out there, Bobby V proved that
