I figured I might like it when I saw the poster and preview. It's also apparently a remake based on one made back in 1947. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0039808/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 I'm not sure when I'll get to see it.

yes it is a remake and absolutely wonderful

its a remake in the sense that it uses the same title as the 1947 film just as the 1947 film deviated from James Thurber's original short story
i watched the 1947 film two weeks ago when it was on TCM I recommend it. Danny Kaye was excellent as always

I'd be tempted to see the original because I do like the occasional old movie. We recently got a hold of the 1957 "Around the world in 80 days". It's 3 hours long but really nice.
I also have the Jackie Chan version. It's super cheesy because it's catering to kids.
