| - Spoiler:
Let's just say it's a bit more like The Walking Dead than I expected. The returned are a kind of zombie. Some eat regular food, but sometimes they eat people. Toward the end of the first season, some of the returned are experiencing their skin decaying and falling off. They came back to get revenge or set things right? Some were killed in the town when the dam broke many years ago. They dug up one of the graves of one of the returned and it had no body in it, only water. I believe it's suppose to be water from the dammed up lake. The water in that dammed up lake is mysteriously getting lower. I think the lake water is going into the graves and bringing back the dead? These are just my impressions - from the French series - so far. There's lots of mystery to it. Also - a fair amount of naked people. lol

| Well, as I said, not sure if the American series will be the same as the French one. So, they could be vastly different.
But, I would recommend watching "The Returned" on Netflix if you are so inclined. I thought it was interesting.

How come this does not have a place in the tv show section? both it and believe should have their own spot there? SPOILERS!Ok I watched this cause it beat believe so bad, and the 1st show was ok, then this 2nd show like desi said they dont show what they saw, I wonder if it was empty? I say that due to the dad still had the note the girl slipped into his coat pocket. Also they have the same clothes. The kid seems innocent, but the dad was obviously into something bad, he was burying money or something when he had a heart attack, and now he went and it looks liked killed the guy who was his partner. So he isnt so nice of a guy. it is a interesting show.

| OK - So both the French and the American series depict that all this has something to do with a river (a lake in the French version) and a dam overflowing. | |

| I saw the 1st 4 have not watched 5 yet, now there is a 3rd "riser", and they are linked somehow. Not all good as the one guy was a bank robber and killer, and they eat a lot, and dont sleep. Could get boring after awhile. | |

| I'm still watching. But, since I watched the French series, I find myself wondering how they will be the same and how they will be different. | |

| One of the reviews of the book on Amazon said that the book has a "mystical" bent, so I'm wondering what that is about.
It has kept my interest so far.

| sorry I get the episode threads going this Sunday...
Is everyone caught up.. the towns folk are pissing me off.. all righteous and shit in their church and than what now they are going to turn around and kill them or what??? like that's makes them any better...
I would like to ask the guy how he would feel if his cousin Daryl came back.. bet he wouldn't be so quick to cast him as demon and send him on his way... arg so frustrating.. same with Toms wife.. its not like Tom asked for this.. how come nobody other than Bellum and Maggie can have some compassion or what these people are going through!!! _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

| especially considering that one is just a kid; he doesn't understand why everyone hates him. Or why his friend grew up and he didn't.
tom's wife acts like he just knocked his ex up instead of years ago

| yea, and I am sure that is what the everyone thinks after Helen said that... I hope more people come back that were family to those people so that they can feel it too...
But based on the way Caleb disappeared imma say that it is linked to the river or water in general... I also like the idea of them being able to predict when people will show up _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

Where online do you watch?? Hulu?? No, I watch it on ABC.com A lot of the regular broadcast stations put their shows online on their websites (not always true with cable stations though - like AMC) Sometimes they will "lock" it for a few days and only those people who have cable can watch it online by logging in with their cable provider. But, if a show is locked, you can usually watch it 8 days after it is aired. They "unlock" it then.
