| I love getting free tix to games. And tomorrow one of our prior pitchers is throwing against us - Vance Worley. I saw him pitch his first career complete game when he was still a Phillie.

That's awesome! I'm going to the game on Friday. My birthday present from the fella. The high is only supposed to be 67 degrees during the day, so it'll be a little chilly that night...I'll get to wear one of my many cardinal hoodies!

I'm finally getting to wear my phillies jacket since I'm sure it'll be too chilly for me One of our vendors gave us tix so of course they go to me

| I really hope Stanton is able to come back, an immense talent, that was an awful pitch to the face. Reminds me of the hit to Tony Conigliaro, just awful | |

| and Jason Heyward - he still wears that extended helmet that covers the side of his face.
I doubt he'll return this season - he looked bad.
And to add insult to that injury - it was ruled that he swung at that pitch. The guy who came in after him got hit too and THAT was also ruled a swing. The MLB needs intelligent umpires. That's just ridiculous. I didn't see the 2nd hit but I don't see how with a pitch to the face you could rule anything other than trying to dodge it.

| I'm hoping Stanton hits free agency so the Phillies can throw money at him. Of course they'd have competition from 29 other teams. | |

Yea, that was ridiculous, the Marlins got the short end of the stick last night, getting their manager, Pitcher and catcher ejected, plus losing Stanton for the rest of the season

yeah that was dumb, 2 different guys get hit by consecutive pitches on the same at bat, one goes to the hospital, and it's a strikeout????

| I don't care what direction the bat is going, if you get hit in the face, take a base.
If Buster Posey can get a rule, then so can the hitters.

If Buster Posey can get a rule, then so can the hitters. I agree they shouldn't have to write a rule that says if you get stiches on YOUR FACE, it's a base and then the next dude comes up, HE GETS HIT, and he swung at it too though the game would different if they purposely threw at your head and you had to swing to avoid the pitch, of course if that happens then you can carry the bat with you around the bases and chase the infielders when they go after a ground ball. lets see you turn the double play with a guy swingin a Luisville slugger at ya bitch!!!

In the topsy turvy world of sports paps was suspended 7 games and fined 500,000 bucks for his antics the other night, Adrien peterson is playing this sunday and hasn't lost a dime of pay. Apparently grabbing your dick in public is a much worse crime than drawing blood on a 4 year old while whipping him.

Apparently grabbing your dick in public is a much worse crime than drawing blood on a 4 year old while whipping him. that was also a tweet by someone - lesson learned for baseball players I guess we'll be stuck with Pap now until they just release him. Its a shame that he's devalued himself so much because other than that blown save Sunday he's been great at pitching.

how much is left on his contract??, he has been pretty solid, and teams are always looking for a reliable closer. We traded beckett and crawford when their values were almost nil, someone would take him if he was put on the block, depending on the years left. They could add a no junk grabbing clause to his next contract, he plays for the minimum for a year for every time he fondles himself in public

| I think next year and maybe an option - The Phils would probably give him away if anyone would have him. I'm not sure about $$ but it's at least $12mil if there's a year.
Our other pen guys seem to like him - although they may be spouting a party line - they get extensive media training in Philly
