i watched Insidious 2 with Des while she was here...thought it was kinda dumb

..watched the Conjuring ...i found that a bit scurry...

Poltergeist! I won't watch that at night, in the dark.

I also loved the first and third nightmare on elm streets. Friday the thirteenth movies were also fun to watch.

I go more for comedy now.

i mostly watch old horror movies during the amc halloween time period...they always show old dumb scurry movies that i love... lol...

but Poltergeist is one of the best..i have it on dvd.. ..part II is okay...Kane is pretty scary lol..

Mr. G and I are suckers for horror movies. but scary ghost-type movies. not slasher stuff. the only slasher ones i liked were the nightmare on elm streets and the first saw - only cause that was the first of it's kind when it came out

I'm with you on the slasher stuff. I like the suspense stuff better. And I think what they don't show you can be much scarier.

the best kind of gore is Quentin Terintino's stuff..

They just don't make horror movies like they use too...

yeah i've seen the Hostel movies, and yes it was torture just for the sake of torture, the saw movies became that, like Gin said, the first one was good because it was so unexpected, but after that it was just gore

Yes it was so unexpected!
Same with the Blair Witch Project. that one scared us too - Like Blondie said - it was what you COULDNT see that gave you the creeps. We went camping not long after seeing that one - and I remember being actually scared in the tent - imagining children laughing and hand prints on the outside of the tent scrd

The Ring also scared the crap out of me - and I don't get scared... but it was also the first of it's kind with the weird camera shots... I remember having a knot in my stomach watching it lol

yeah that scene did make me jump, it's one of those things you know is coming but you can't help but jump.

the first alien is one of my all time favorite movies, the second one was a good action movie, and the series quickly ran off the rails after that, but the first one was great flick
