from what I have heard, it is a pretty bad situation too, I don't have a problem with parents using corporal punishment, frankly not enough of them do as far as I am concerned, but leaving welts on a 4 year old that are visible a week later, stuffing leaves in the kid's mouth, having a separate room in your house for punishment??/ I think he may have taken it a bit far.

I think he may have taken it a bit far. the pictures were pretty brutal - that's not normal punishment for a 4 year old you should just give a smack on the ass with your hand

wasn't the best week for the shield last week, that's for sure. the part that bothers me is Peterson doesn't seem to think he did anything wrong. he has a right to discipline his kids, but he went way past that as far as I'm concerned, and from what i heard it was over something pretty small to begin with. Just wait until the rest of his kids tell someone what he has done to them. he should be toast, but he is a whole different story than Rice, he's a major star, and MVP, and a "face" of the league.

the team is gonna make the league make a decision, which they haven't been really good at. like I said, if he was a third string RB, they wouldn't have reinstated him so fast, they would have waited until the league told them what to do.

yeah but then they reinstated him, even after he admitted to hitting the kid and drawing blood. They have had 2 other players involved in domestic violence, one was suspended for 10 games, until he was found innocent, the other was released. I think they may ultimately suspend him again, they have lost radison hotels as a sponsor, and I suspect that more will follow. They will be pushed financially until they do something. Like I said, i don't have a problem with corporal punishment, but he went way too far, the kid was 4, and a couple swats on his ass with an open hand would have been more effective than whipping him til he bleeds.

| I thought he was lacking - he normally connects on more long throws than he did.
But he did move them downfield in a hurry when he had to.
I like him. | |

| I think Sproles may be the biggest FA Pickup this season, The Eagles are more dangerous with him than they ever were with Desean Jackson, he has a better attitude too. _________________ He is the Prince who was promised, and his is the song of Ice and Fire

anyone who thought it wasn't had blinders on. reinstating him was financially motivated, he is their best offensive player, a former MVP, he would have never been reinstated if he was schlub

| Goodell is toast, he will be resigning very soon I bet. The owners will want to make a clear statement to the sponsors that they are working on solutions.
He should have been suspended the minute this story came out.

i find it amusing that some in the NHL office are trying to get fighting completely out of our game so it will appeal more to American viewers
who are these Americans that will tolerate thugs in the NFL (present company excluded) but find two guys going toe to toe on the ice offensive _________________ I always knew I'd get old. How fast it happened was a bit of a suprise, though.

| 6000 penalties in the first half but the one play without a flag ended with two players leaving the game. Maclin was sandwiched between two cardinals players: helmet to helmet to helmet. Maclin is bleeding from his ear. | |

I would be more worried about the Eagles if Foles was healthy, but I will take Mark Sanchez all day, the Eagles were Super Bowl Contenders with Foles, I don't think they make the playoffs without him. _________________ He is the Prince who was promised, and his is the song of Ice and Fire

| Foles wasn't putting up dynamite numbers - too many interceptions - they'd be undefeated if he was as good as he was last season.
I really don't know much about Sanchez - as far as prior playing. He's done well in limited time this season. Our offensive line is almost put back together - if they can give him a chance to throw the ball and/or give McCoy room they should be ok
We should make the playoffs anyway. Our only competition in the division is Dallas and we should handle them just fine.
