Did anyone watch this? I have it recorded but haven't watched it yet. It seems like it will be a cool premise.

Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity's lone survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet.

sounds like a really good premise, but I am having a really hard time lately starting anything new.. mostly because I worry about cancelation, but also between streaming and Netflix I have gotten use to binge watching things so end up watching stuff that I can watch several episodes of at a time lol

Ok saw this but first the ratings
CW The 100 - Premiere 0.9/3 2.66
CW Arrow 0.8/3 2.36
It beat Arrow, but the ratings will drop after a premiere so depends what happens the next 3 eps.
the 2.66 mil is good, but the .09 demo is not if it drops too much.
for a CW show it needs to be .06 or above.

I watch several CW shows so saw the promo a lot , and thought this would suck, but it was ok.

Here is a summary since the official one sucks.
Nuclear war humans go to space stations to survive, they couple several stations into one.
Living in space on limited resources require strict new laws, you would not have on earth.
the plan was to stay in space for 200 years then go back to earth.
but after 97 years the station is breaking down and won last but another 4 months or so.

so they decide to send the lawbreakers in prison back to earth, and they are all young, but were not criminals as what we might think.
Some were and I think all adults when breaking a law were "floated" which means airdock.... open door and your floated! LOL
The kids are sent down with wrist monitors to see how earth affects them, so they would know if it is safe for all to come down.
And this is kinda silly cause if your at the point where you cannot sustain life on the station or have to thin the population down , you might as well just send pretty much everyone down.
The kids have one bad guy who takes a leader role and gets them to remove the monitors.
Plus it seems some other humans have survived here.
So it is fairly interesting, and cast is ok nothing great.

I tried the tomorrow people but got bored with it, so maybe this one is better than it.
Only one of them will be renewed.

hopefully they'll re-air the first episode of The 100 so I can catch it

thanks for the heads up Tee!!    I checked and for some reason we cant get The 100.  in fact I don't think we get the CW at all - just the shows they air on other stations

we can get it at my house, but I haven't rented a movie, from redbox netflix or even on demand ever.

since the invention of dvd's i think I have rented maybe a half dozen movies, all from blockbuster before they went out of business, since then I have not paid to watch a movie in any way shape or form. I have borrowed a few from a friend who finds it necessary to buy every single new movie he wants to see from amazon, but that's it.

I can't cancel my cable as I signed a 3 year contract.. I think I have 1 year left on it than I will probably be cancelling my cable... Marcus pretty much only watches Netflix and I am starting to think I could live without cable and just stream everything or watch Netflix... I dunno tho.. maybe I will just keep the basic package lol just in case

I like Netflix, but I have to have cable for sports!

I think I have t have cable for the sake of having it lol I like being able to watch day time TV if I am home and than Seinfeld and what not at night, I will prolly just cancel a bunch of my packages including Marcus's kids shows.. he only watches cable if I force him to otherwise its netflix

Episode 2 was another good ep, might be a good show!
Next week mommy want to come down to earth, and a big baddie was hiding in the tree at the end.
For a futuristic sci fi show it is pretty good, most of them suck.

I like it too, it does seem like it is going to be really good.

I think the show needs to stay at or above .06 in the demo to get renewed.
I wonder if it can stay above 2 mil in viewers also, as only arrow has been doing that on regular basis.
The strange thing is both seem to skew older viewers, both should have higher demos for the number of viewers they have.

The only bad thing about this show, is it has 2 stories, one on earth, which is the more interesting one, and then one back on the space station, which is not very interesting.
