I used to like this show too but didn't watch it regularly - I may have to add it to my binge list. All the prior seasons are on Netflix?

I think Goof was a big X-Files fan.

I saw the first movie - it was ok. I have not seen the other one (how many were there?)

I may even have saved the show in my list already. Is the new season on Fox or did Netflix pick it up?

There was 2 movies I haven't seen them yet.

The show will air on FOX and its will be 6 episodes, more of a miniseries thing.

Original Fox and Mulder of course, skinner and C.S.M will also be back!

Looks like 3 episodes are complete so far as they are listed for the miniseries

nice - it was a good show

Gillian Anderson has a Netflix show - its called The Wall, I think. It's 2 short seasons but was pretty good. She's a detective hunting a serial killer.

cool Yep I was a dedicated X-Files fan from day one during it's original run.  The first movie is good.  Avoid the second movie, it's crap.  Which then puts more pressure on the new upcoming thing to try harder to get it right.

Here is the latest promo.

I watched it sporadically when it was on - I remember it was on Friday nights and I still had a social life then.

I'm leaning towards this being my next binge show. Well, right after Bosch on Amazon. I read the books so I signed up for Prime really just to watch that. Although Ron Pearlman also has a show on there too.

anyone watching the new season? I've been seeing people raving about it on facebook.

I'm about to finish up season 3 so I'm not quite ready yet.

I will say that I'm finding Smoking Man amusing. I mean I knew about him and saw him on what episodes I've seen but his lighting up absolutely everywhere is starting to crack me up. He lit up in a hospital in one I watched last night.

I don't think they will, I am pretty sure the storyline is meant to bring the show to a close, but last I heard Gillian Andersons show The Fall has been cancelled, but its a UK show and I am pretty sure its filmed there so Gillian must live in the UK now.

They both look sooooo good still tho it crazy, and they are using the original opening which is pretty cool

I'll have to check Netflix - I don't care about S4 but S2 left a pretty big cliffhanger.

It's a short series - only 13 episodes between the two seasons. I watched it about a year ago - I was so sick I really had no desire to even move for two weeks.

Easily. No I liked the technoepisode very much. I just think I would have used it as a teaser before the actual season started. Although it might be saying that drones and driverless cars are greater threats than the smoking man. Evenso it belonged maybe as a double feature with that other parody episode: Them. Apart from this season's dominant arc.

I half wondered if Steven King's IT, PeeWee's Playhouse, The Teletubby show, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkhaban would be credited as writers on this week's episode. The direct and semi-direct allusions were blaring. Still I enjoyed the episode. I think however this episode would have benefitted from a two-episode arc because Mulder and Scully weren't solving the case as much as reciting talking points. Here is an episode where the supporting characters carried most of the weight.

Well I guess I liked this episode more than BA (er is it DA here :goof:). Although, I will concede that it woulda worked well as a 2 parter. To me this episode (and to a lesser extent this season) was truly old skool X-Files. Like early seasons X-Files. Really eerie & spooky. With outta the way towns in the woods, creepy (& dead) children, supernatural, with believer Mulder & somehow still skeptic Scully's famous banter. Really worked for me. More of this (episode & season) and less of the 1st couple (or last season).

Starting watching it finally, had to start season 10 over cause its been so long since it came out.

For those who don;t know me that well I am super into the X-files in real life and have spent alot of time researching and talking to people about the truth behind this subject.

The first episode sent chills down spine. Of everything I have learned I would always tell people chances are aliens are real, but they are not trying to communicate with us. We have stolen their technology and are using it.

Of all the "Disclosure" entertainment I have seen X-Files by far has to be the closest to what is happening in real life.

Man I fuckin love this show so much. Me and My boyfriend ARE Mulder and Scully tongue

My all time favorite episodes are the Anasazi, Blessing Way and Paperclip trilogy.  But so many goods ones along the way.  I stopped watching after Duchovny left the series, though.

Love how they change the opening titles.. this one's "the truth is out there" in Navajo.

I love episode 3 of season 10. The lizardman who turns into a human. Amazing writing in that episode.

Yeah, are a few good ones in the recent series, didn't quite get Mulder's psychedelic trip in the S10 finale, though. I'll have to re-watch it at some point. I also need to finish S11.

Have you ever mediated to the point that you "tripped" ? Trust me you do not need heavy duty drugs to trip lol

Desi, did you ever listen to Art Bell in the 90's? Not sure if you got him in Canada, but talking about real X-files. I was hooked on that radio program. Bizarre guests from Area 51, remote viewing, UFO's and aliens, Ghosts, mediums, Mel's Hole (a bottomless pit that apparently leads to hell, and they have the audio to prove it, lol), EVP's, Bigfoot, etc. It was great while it lasted.

No, I'm only familiar with Mel's which apparently has been debunked.

Some of the radio stations broadcast "Art Bell's Somewhere in Time" , which are replays of his earlier shows. I still enjoy them to this day.

Art Bell was early on in the game, lots of confusion. Alot of theories and conspiracies were very fresh. I've talked with lots of people who have been following the UFO community for 25+ years and have spent alot of time myself researching. Personally in my research I skip alot of the conspiracy stuff and go straight to the spirituality stuff. It is way to easy to get wrapped up in the extreme paranoia of conspiracies.

I will tell you this tho. Art Bell is the tip of the ice berg. Most of the conspiracies are true in certain aspects, but if you spend enough time sifting through you find alot of truth, and its never what you think. There is so much out there that has been kept from us for whatever reasons. But with all the extreme weather and the receding oceans there are pieces of our history being exposed.

We live in an exciting time on Earth and our era will be highlighted in the textbooks of the future.

Also Mel's hole was only debunked by 1 geologist who said in his experience a hole like that wasn't possible. He never went to hole or did any sort of research on it.

Most people have heard of Hollow Earth. Good chances are that its not some underground Alien city, but an elborate system of bunkers and cities in large caves put there by both our ancestors and our current governments.

Have you heard of the Atolls ?? There are hundreds of islands in the Pacific Ocean and the larger ones are usually kept covered in all maps.

If you go to google Earth and research the Atolls you will see there is groups of islands that are inhabitated by the Super Elite and its littered with Christian churches and Museums with some of the worlds most treasured artifacts. I actually know someone who has been there because they run in that circle. There is an entire society of hundreds of thousands of super elite (and possibly non human) people living in the Pacific Ocean and no one cares.

There are also probably a lot of mutants running around there because of the all the nuclear testing in that region.  23 nuclear bombs were detonated between 1946 and 1956

Episode 9. Totally bizarre and depraved. It liked it. I wish that the guest star heroine was more explored as a character. Or made more mysterious. Still the whole thing was good. The ending was particularly touching.

Sorry, off topic, but I'm looking forward to this one. Fiona Vroom is the guest star and she also played the title character in a "Star Trek Continues" web episode called  "Lolani".  She co-starred with the green guy in my Av (Lou Ferrigno, in case you didn't recognize him).  She is also green.
