I know a few of you have seen it... I absolutely loved every minute of it.  They really did the book justice.  They also paid tribute to the first movie several times which I really enjoyed considering a large percentage of the audience had seen the original as children/ teens.

The kids are fantastic and I'm really hoping that the adults also do a good job (unlike the first movie).

I finally watched this yesterday. It really was quite outstanding. So much of it was shot-for-shot and line-for-line from the original, but it was only the best parts. Overall it was considerably improved.
