my fantasy team sucks...cubs suck...next..

Well that was a pretty good weekend for us....sorry VOD...3 out of 4 from Bosox...a liitle good luck was involved there, but we averaged 7 runs a game, so usually that will spell victories...we're still reeling from losing Valverde, probably for good...Verlander, I don't know WHAT's up with him...Cabrera's in a HR slump too...somehow everybody else is pitching in, and hitting in, though

I know what that feels like...ours is sometimes shakier than one of those houses on stilts in a Phillipine typhoon...

I would rather the pen get the blowing games out of their system now, so come October they are killers!

yeah amazingly enough, actually gained a half game in the standings, Hopefully we can take the rockies for a couple and then cool the jets of toronto this weekend

looks like Buch is out til the fourth of july at least, but the starters have been doing pretty well, it's the late innings that kill us

so, what are the prospects like in your club? Despite what they say, I think Pap's gone.  Too many contenders could use him.  It'll be 2015 before we have a chance again.

the red sox have prospects, just sayin, and the still have a tape of his music stored

we've been swept. by the Rangers. they got their revenge. Now....time to keep the Pirates at bay....

I would rather Bucholz stays out until the break, no need to rush him back until he is ready.

maybe a reunion is in order. You probably should've just ante'd up in the first place

I hope they don't trade Lee but it doesn't make the most sense.

Word is that Utley and M. Young will probably go. Young I don't care about. It will be hard to see Chase somewhere else. But we do have a couple of 2b and 3b available to come up.

As much as Leyland's been maligned locally for tinkering too much, and pulling starters too soon, I think he's got a good hand on things...we have very few rookies really...some of the middle relievers are from Toledo....Holliday, who caught yesterday, is a backup for Bryan Pena, who was brought in to prop up Avila, who is off to find out where his head, and his batting, are at

We need outfielders who hit for power and relief pitchers who are ready to play now.

We are actually ok on starting pitching. 1B is occupado for the foreseeable future.

I have a feeling that, with Austin Jackson back and raising hell, they might try to market Andy Dirks...he's got some power Blondie...

I think they have to be open to about anyone. It would take more than him for Papelbon though. Price and age is right.

Pittsburgh has been great for the first half of the season, but like the last couple of years, they will probably tank after the All Star break.

The Cards are having a case of not being able to beat mediocre teams.

3 of 4 from toronto 5-1 so far on the homestand  

50 wins on July 1, 69 all of last year amazing what a year will do, still have questions in the bullpen though, but overall, I am truly amazed at what they have accomplished

iglesias is hitting 417 right now, and would have to go like 0 fer 50 to get his average down to 300

I've heard the Yankees want him too. He grounds into many double plays but he's not too bad otherwise. We don't need him - we could easily just play Kevin Frandsen at 3rd. If we can get anyone for him, all the better. He won't bring anything in free agency.

I also hear that you and Detroit are still looking at Papelbon.

well they either make the move for a certified closer, or look to bolster the bullpen in some other way, they are getting done, but they have a long way to go and need a live arm to lessen the load.

Uehura has been pretty good, but he's 38 and you won't be able to get him 3 days in a row very often.

i honestly don't think they will get paps back, it would take alot to get him and they are not in ht eleast bit interested to give up their prospects for a short term fix.

I see them bringing up a guy or two from AAA to patch up the bullpen after the all star break, dela russa might be the next guy they start getting some innings in with in the bullpen.

I can't believe i am saying this, but Lackey is our Ace, our number 1 , if they make the playoffs will be our game 1 starter   

I think he will be in the rotation, but hopefully Lester is back to normal by then.

Tigers finally find a way to win on the road....7-4 against the Indians, Jays, and Rays.....I think the closer situation is settled, with Benoit..but he needs help. Doesn't seem Chris Davis can be stopped this year, so no triple crown for Cabby I think....Martinez is coming around and acting like a real DH  

The Sox hate the west coast, and they are dropping pitchers like a bag full of rice with a hole in it.

Miller gone for the season is really goona hurt.

Apparently we are still on the "cusp" of something and don't know what's going on or what's going to happen  


They took 2 of 3 from the Pirates and Braves and beat the Nat's last night so I guess we're in a hopeful stage, even with losing Ryan Howard for pretty much the remainder of the season.

On the bright side, we get to see Darin Ruf - many think he was the answer for the right handed power bat. Time will tell. But it is exciting watching some of these younger players. Maybe it'll be a good thing.
