yeah they are in Baltimore first, but they come right up to Fenway to play the Yankees in the first week the field is goona be frozen if it doesn't warm up a little. cape cod is gonna have a blizzard tonight

I think the Cards are gonna be in good shape.

So.... Miguel Cabrera.....$30mil at his age 40 season. Obviously will be a DH by then. Worth it?

I think so, if he is able to hit like Papi at the age then it is definitely worth it.

i'm not sure i would pay papi 30 million to hit like he does, that's a ton of money for a DH, but then again, what he did just in the world series last year made the team more than that!!

I was just comparing him to another older player who's numbers are good, they better hope he doesn't go the Pujols route.

Atlanta lost a big portion of their pitching staff - they may not be as good as they were supposed to be

Eh, these are just predictions, I bet half of it looks different come October, I mean, the Blue Jays were supposed to win it all last year, and they finished in last place.

I called that one from the beginning. They were the '13 Marlins in a different uniform.

sigh..wish i could get excited about it..our team still sucks..our future is bright..but i cant watch the future right now til they bring them up...they leave all our prospects in the minors way too long..Baez should be up starting at short with Castro's overrated ass at second...Bryant should be at third with Olt as back up infielder...Rizzo at first...Soler in the outfield..etc...but no..we'll just go ahead and put shit out on the field another year....'be patient'

Lee gave up 4 runs That's one thing about him - as soon as you give him a lead, he blows it. He's better in a close game.

Lee gets lit up; we've scored 6, I'm not holding my breathe for more.

tillman is up to 79 pitches after 4 innings, looks like the bullpen will used early for the orioles.

We're now up 13-8 and only in the 7th   

Our pen should be a strength this season.

They really need to start scoring some of these runs they are leaving on the bags!

The Sox played well, Lester pitched great, just couldn't score any runs.

It's 1 game people, they had plenty, PLENTY of chances to win that game, in fact it never should have been a 1 run game, the sox could have easily scored 5-6 runs yesterday, they left runners on in every inning but the i believe the 7th

Yea, nothing to worry about, Lester was ON yesterday, Defense looked good, just couldn't score any runs. JBJ Had 1 at Bat, Are you serious?! It's only one game, they will be fine!

lester made one mistake, and even that pitch wasn't horrible, Cruz just got ahold of an inside fastball and ripped it.

9 times out of 10 that's a line shot foul ball.


they did what they were supposed to do, get people on base and run up the pitch count, they just couldn't get that one hit when the guys were in scoring position, overall i thought it was a good game, give credit to the Orioles, they got the pitch they needed when it mattered most.

BTW- tough first day for Don Baylor.

He broke his leg catching the ceremonial first pitch in Anaheim

They'll need to take at least one more win from the Rangers before that happens. They normally don't score anything after a big showing like yesterday. I'm looking forward to seeing their approach tonight - if they stay patient with a youngin on the mound. And he's a lefty so that is another challenge.

they managed a few hits with runners on base, I was happy with game one, you put that many guys on and you will be scoring runs.


Lackey was very good, and it was nice to see them score a few runs for him.


pedey is on a tear to start the season.

bogaerts has a really good eye for what's strike, unusual for a kid as young as he is but he has no fear at the plate.

Uehara had to pitch last night, napoli kept letting guys get on base.

We had that game they need to release him - $13 mil or not. He's going to kill the season.

We should have swept the freaking series. I blame the loss in the 2nd game on Sanberg but last night was all Pap. He was handed a 2 run lead and the bottom of the Ranger's order.

We're on precarious ground here. The bitch of it is that they actually don't look half bad as a team. The pen is a little shakey but first games of the season can be like that for the younger guys. And the offense could also score more but they are getting the hits and getting on base.

First series is a win!! Bogaerts had a great game, Home Opener today!!
