The Walking Dead S5 EP 1

Bad Ass Premiere, action packed episode. I think the others are gonna regret not listening to Rick and killing the rest of the Terminus folks.

The Walking Dead returned to AMC last night with arguably its most brutal and violent episode to date. A sixth season was announced ahead of the season five premiere and you can't blame the cable network for being confident with ratings like these. The record setting numbers saw an average audience of 17.3 million watch the episode with a 7.7 rating in adults 18-49. The season four premiere had 16.11 million viewers and these numbers completely decimate everything from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Gotham and The Flash. "It's a Dead man's party. Who could ask for more?" said Charlie Collier, AMC president said in a statment today. "Enormous thanks to our friends and executive producers Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, Greg Nicotero - who also directed last night's terrific premiere - Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Tom Luse and all of their fellow producers, cast and crew for everything they do to make the #1 show on television such a unique and incredible experience for the fans. 'The Walking Dead' is one of those increasingly rare shows today that can command a live audience not significantly cannibalized by time-shifted viewing. Who would have thought that cannibalized television could be curtailed by cannibal-ized television?"

the slaughter/ trough scene was brutal - again... they present these scenes we've never seen before that completely shock us...  I am still  creeped out by that scene. I knew they'd be ok - but when he was about to hit Glen - I couldn't help but squeal.

Do you think Tyrese actually killed that dude?

we had all the kids friends over for the premiere - the boys even made another penis cake for the occasion!
 
The reunion was awesome. we had a couch full of 13 and 14 year old girls (the boys were on the other couch) and all of us 'oooooooh'd !" when Daryl ran to Carol

Carol is effing bad ASS. I just love her.  

I think Rick should have insisted that they kill the terminus folk too - but after watching the Talking Dead, understood the moral dilemma they are trying to portray... the Termites used to be like Rick and the gang - they were taken and they fought back.... Rick  slaughtering them all may have been along the same line as what the termites did....
however I still think he should have done it. eff crossign the line! those people were freaks

Yea, kill em all! I do think Tyreese killed the guy, he was pounding the crap out of him.

I think so too but Mr G thinks he didn't ... and rewatching yesterday - as he was smashing the dude he kept saying "I wont! I wont!"

so I dunno - in any case he'd surely be walker bait by now if he wasn't already dead.

maybe this will be what turns Tyrese to a bad ass... he's been kinda wussy lately

It looked like they guy he beat to death was at the campfire with the other Hunters, so I guess Tyreese didn't kill him.
