Howard is in Florida though and they say that Utley could be headed there in a week. We may get one or both back in June.

Cards had an excellent series against the Brewers...but yesterdays odd ending was well...odd...and stupid.

we can't afford to let anyone have fun

we should at least be beating those teams

Im hoping since all the Red Sox injuries are early this season, maybe they will be healthy come September.

their rotation come sept will be daisuke, lester, aaron cook, andrew Miller, and late in the month Tim wakefield actually the pitching has been rather good lately, hopefully they can keep hitting, i think they may be OK!!!

I would be happy if crawford got to play this year as well, the biggest injury concern has to be Ells.

that injury probably cost him 5 million a year in his next contract, he went from a great player who got hurt once to an 'often injured" player that may never be worth a long term contract.

It will be July minimum before he can be of any help, even when he's cleared to play, it will take a while to get that shoulder back up to full strength.

Yea, Theo made a mistake on him and John Lackey, shouldn't of signed either one.

i was talking about ells's injury, but you're right, both crawford and lackey were bad signings. lackey was at best a number 3 starter, no way he's worth that kind of money even before he was hurt. his numbers were just OK, and he was pitching in the AL west, where they should've been outstanding crawford is a good player, but not 20 million good, more like 12-13 million tops.

My biggest gripe with Lackey is Boston always played him well, You should never sign someone that you can hit.

SO my mom is taking her grandson's to New York this summer. Her cousin is taking them to a Yankees v. Red Sox game. I'm thinking my 11y/o BoyChild may hear words he didn't know existed in the stands

my first thought is that he's probably already heard it but you're from the mid-west, right?

maybe just explain that New Yorkers are passionate about their teams and really really hate the Red Sox
