I was kinda put off by the previews, where they showed female Vikings. I don't think there's any historical basis for female Vikings. Even so, I wanted to record it, for said hot Vikingesses if nothing else tongue

, but too many recording conflicts for me...maybe they'll show it again...

The woman viking wasn't exactly a viking, she was defending herself from being raped while her husband was off pilaging.

I thought this show was a documentary. I have tried twice to watch the first eppie, and I was not impressed, I will give it another try, with a different perspective while watching. I am hoping I like it.

This week in the news, people scientists/ archaeologists claim that they have found a sun stone. The same stone, that Vikings used to travel across the ocean. And the same stone, I have seen in previews for Vikings.

Yea, great dialogue, follows history pretty accuarately. Bloodiest and goriest thing on tv, makes the movie Gladiator look pg. Lots of sex scenes too. Lots of manipulating people and backstabbers.

Begins with Spartacus as a freeman, shows how he becomes a slave, and ultimately a gladiator that leads a rebellion against Rome with an army of slaves.

Oddly, this was the reason the Romans tried so hard to keep groups from gaining any toehold. Ironic. They persecuted Christians because they were uber paranoid of political challenges.

Wow! I just watched the latest episode. I think this show is awesome! I was a little lost because I'm new to the show, but I really like it. A friend of mine suggested I watch because she knew I would like it.

This last episode where they go to do the sacrifices was I think one of the best episodes I have ever seen on TV!

It was filmed like a first class movie. Very artistic camera work.

I will give this show, another chance. I can watch it some of it on xfinity online, and some of it on demand.
