I've been debating on whether to start a 2014 hockey thread
but wtf here goes.

first pre-season game against the Sharks to-nite.

I'm not excited

Fly guys lost to the Leafs last night 4-3

I guess our goaltending has not yet been solved.

Not sure where the Wings are at this year quality-wise....might be another rebuilding year...they did move to the East, we shall see...that means fewer games with the Avs...pity

Will we be alternating years now? Like we go out there one year, then you're here the next? Or do we not even play each year at least once a year?

this is why I(and most everyone in the west) hate Toronto,The Maple Leafs and the CBC

Canucks on HNIC 12 times this season, the Leafs 25

I find it a bit odd that four teams in the NEW Metropolitan Division are on the Atlantic seaboard

and only Boston is on the Atlantic seaboard in the NEW Atlantic Division

I'm still pissed off from the last time they changed the names of the conferences and divisons

that pippsqueak Bettman changed all that when instituted the NBA/NFL/MLB style format

and chucked out all the history and tradition from our game to attract new fans from those hockey hotbeds of Altanta, Miami,Tampa, et al

I couldn't believe it, even after I looked at the schedule. Who scheduled a 5 day gap between games...Wings last played on the 5th, and now finally they play tonight...

I don't know much about it either.... But will watch a little if it's on here- which it is a LOT!!!! We live right outside Pittsburgh.... And they love their hockey here!!!

Ilitch's are going to have a time selling a new stadium to a city council dealing with bankruptcy and an emergency manger over it all....but the EM has said, if council votes it down, he will reintoduce it to push it through....$650 million, but among other pluses, it would be developing a severely blighted section of downtown...

last time only one canadian team made the playoffs was in 1973

and it was the Habs and they went on to win the Cup

it's over

that's what happens when only your goaltender shows up to play.

all the fire power on that team and they couldn't score.

of course its tough to score when you never shoot at the net

Craig played fairly well last night, but I still think the Golden spoked ones move on after a tough 7 game series
