| and having Pujols on the team for so long, i know how frustrating it is to see him walk all the time but a base runner is a base runner. | |

he really is locked in, no matter where they throw the ball, he seems to know where it's going to be and hit's it hard. Been a good series so far , I was hoping for this, though it would be easier on my developing ulcer if the games were a little less stressful

Yea, the guys behind him just have to start hitting, I wonder if they would walk him with the bases loaded? _________________ He is the Prince who was promised, and his is the song of Ice and Fire

Yea, the guys behind him just have to start hitting, I wonder if they would walk him with the bases loaded? if they are ahead by a run or more, I bet they do If they are already behind they pitch to him. Of course that would mean someone else besides pedey would have to hit or get a walk. i was pissed the other night when they brought Middlebrooks in to pinch hit, instead of getting comfortable, maybe looking at a pitch or two, he hacks at the very first pitch and pops out to center. would you pitch to him, i mean it's as close to a gauranteed hit as you're gonna see in baseball right now.

depending on the situation, they may have to, they need everyone else to put them in a position that they don't have a choice but to pitch to him on a side note, I really really hate mccarver and buck as announcers, they are terrible

tbs was terrible too, but didn't you have orsillo and eckersly for your games?/ those are two red Sox guys orsillo is decent, eck can be a little too much sometimes, but I like orsillo

yeah if he can get on base, it changes the whole game, the pitcher, no matter how good molina is ( I keep hearing how good he is at picking runners off, but he hasn't even had to throw one to second yet) the pitcher will have throw from the stretch, and waste energy tossing over to first now and then, it just makes things happen. I predict a stolen base attempt today from the Red Sox

I predict a stolen base attempt today from the Red Sox we've played St. Louis more than you and I can tell you - you're not running on Yadi the man is a beast. especially watch for HIS move to first, behind the runner. Brutal

I predict a stolen base attempt today from the Red Sox Berry stole a base on Molina last night, he is 29 for 29 to start his career, best start ever! But that is the only SB for the Sox so far this series. _________________ He is the Prince who was promised, and his is the song of Ice and Fire

| I can't believe they pitched to him, I was literally in shock. I think there is a tough matchup Wednesday with Wacha, but I think Lackey has been dealing his last few starts, I think it ends tomorrow. I don't think there is any doubt that Papi will be the MVP! _________________ He is the Prince who was promised, and his is the song of Ice and Fire

he could go 0-4 and strike out on 12 pitches and still be the MVP!!! though my vote goes to Stephen drew, drawing a key walk in the late innings that was more surprising to me than papi getting pitches to hit, how do you throw a curve in the dirt a 3-2 count to drew who hasn't even been close to anything the whole series. In fact I honestly think drew would look better just watching the strikes go by than he does swinging at them

yeah he's our new shortstop, hopefully middlebrooks can turn it around and be closer to the player he was in 12. They will have alot of work to do with the team as soon as the series is over, but imma enjoy at least one more game this year before I put much thought into next year

| I'd like to thank both teams for mostly scoring in the 7th inning. I'm in a small pool that just adds up the number of runs scored in each inning (you get one ea NL and AL) and I happen to have the 7th for both teams. After last night I am ahead by 2 runs. Its like $180 so keep it up | |

their records were the same, though Zi think the cards were one better at home, and we were one better on the road, but I agree, this whole all star this is a joke, though it definitely helped the sox this year it isn't really the fair way to determine. I distinctly remember JJ saying she was gonna be pissed in october the day after the all star game was played

I'm sure they would have gone to best record in their division, or record against other playoff teams there are ways to do it
