I really liked it too. I'm interested in what happens next.

ya i'm anxious to see what happens next too. there are so many CRAP shows out there right now -awful acting awful writing - this one looks really promising so far.

I want to like it and have no problem with mystery and head scratchers, but if they don't start explaining those disgusting smokers soon I'm gonna ... I don't know what I'm gonna do... probably still watch... but that's not the point!   I hate those smokers. they gross me right out.

I saw about 1/2 of this weeks and have no idea what this epi has to do with it so far.

I don't get what smoking has to do with it either - I do remember something about not wasting your breath - maybe that's it? I don't know.

also - I suppose we have to remember it's based on a book - so it might not be transposing as well on the screen... its just the old ladies with cigarettes lol "stalking" ppl with that look of hate - violently whipping the cigarette from their mouths...like the cool kids behind the school

The second half was just as weird. It does seem like the world was against him getting that church back.

Yea, Damon Lindelof is the creator, I couldn't get into it though

Okay, that is what I thought. Now...I watched a special on this show, and he and another guy said..'i hope they dont focus on why everyone left and more on the character development' ......this sounds like LOST all over again...they dont have a complete story..but have character stories well done..and in the end ..you'll find yourself disappointed

it's based on a book so hopefully we'll get a full story - but ya if they dont sorta put some things together i can understand people walking away

I was not disappointed by LOST..

I am thinking for the next few episodes each episode will focus mostly on one character to allow us to get to know them and like them.. that way we won't care so much about the people who disappeared..

also the premise of the show is not about people disappearing its about the lives of the people who didn't disappear... like Derek said... so I guess its like the plane crash in LOST... why the crash happened didn't really matter it what was after the crash that was important

ya that was pretty shocking actually - as much as I said I wanted to smash her in the face I didn't MEAN it!  

This show disturbs me . I can imagine how it would be to live with the GR and I'm surprised there's not more violence. They really step over the line.

you're right. I've raged just lying in my bed watching them - imagine seeing them stare at you while you do your groceries? I'd lose it. and I'm a fairly calm person!

how cool was it that that big black dude was able to make her feel better! I wonder what he "is"?

well maybe "can't stand" is a little strong

they irritate me - the cop is drinking and driving; his daughter and her friend annoy me

if I knew any of them in person I think I would constantly look at them like   

I've stopped watching, haven't decided if I'll pick it back up or not... im pretty content watching my Buffy and X-Files on Netflix...

I wonder if they get royalties for their show being on Netflix..

last episode was pretty good. only 2 left I think

I was pleased the smokers were explained a bit more. I kind of understand what they are doing now... kinda...

oh I know - there would be no tolerance of these people - you mentioned that a week or two ago and I cant get that out of my mind. they'd be violently attacked all the time - and not just by thugs - by soccer moms.  hell if anyone broke into my house or stalked me and my kids - eff that...

yeah, after the pictures were stolen I said that

every episode I watch I just get so angry (probably irrationally so considering its a TV show).

looked like sandbags to me - what else could they be? they reminded me of the fake infants they make you carry around in health class to see if you are cut out to keep a kid alive

I didn't think about sandbags... I don't think it's bodies... and they didn't pay a whole lot for it to be bodies.. but sand might be... although that would be dam heavy to carry ... what about pigs?  sheep?

dead ones? the smell.......

although sandbags do seem a little benign to have delivered in a u haul and paid for with a wad of cash

they were pretty sealed - they could have been embalmed sheep or pigs - or drained of everything... i dunno  

I guess we'll see

The brother/sister though.... They were weird together.

I liked that episode a lot. What's the deal with the brother and that guy (the house he went to)? Is that his real dad?

I think so.  I'm pretty sure they established a step relationship in the beginning.

so should I bother catching up on this show? is it getting good?

This was a flashback of where they were when the departure happened and it tied some of the story lines together.  It makes more sense now.  The previews look good too.

I think I watched  half of it with my jaw dropped.

I loved that episode. that really helped put some things together.

JJ - ya that was his real dad. looks like cop dad came into the picture when he was really little, had a baby with the mom - so the kids are step brother/sister.

agreed - the brother and sister were really weird... I think they were just trying to show us how happy and 'normal' everything was...

the saddest was the mom of the 2 kids and her husband. I cant remember her name. 

really neat about the baby... I really like this show - it can be just so weird sometimes! but I AM intrigued and want to see what happens next.



PS: did anyone notice how tight the cop's jogging pants were?

yeah the mom - her last interaction with her family was a typical morning rush yelling at them
