| So, anybody in the NL want some good bench support, and utility outfielder...in his prime age-wise...and capable of some power....Tigers let Brennan Boesch go Wednesday...got out of a 3 million contract, only having to pay 300 grand...just too many bats on the bench, and in parts of three seasons, he just didn't live up to expectations...I just don't want him in the AL, when he realizes his potential |

the Red Sox could use an outfielder, and a first baseman, it looks like it'll be Lyle Overbay on first and napoli dh'ing to start the season. and they are a little thin in the outfield right now

I really think they will be in the hunt for the playoffs, i think this team has some potential, the pitching is stronger than people think it is, and if s few things go right and the players hit somehwere in the neighborhood of their carer averages I think they will be OK. I'm looking at 90 wins maybe a few more.

| Yea, I don't believe the predictions that say the Sox will finish in last place, and like you said, the pitching will be better than they think. Health is the biggest concern to me, injuries could kill us. _________________ He is the Prince who was promised, and his is the song of Ice and Fire

| the cubs have a superstar in the making with Baez...but he plays short....we have starlin overrated castro there...so..we will leave baez in triple A way too long...make excuses on why we dont bring him up...trade or lose one of them..and continue to suck..
imo...bring him up..start him at third...we dont have a starter for third anyway..ours is old and hurt....baez , castro, barney, rizzo infield..thats the future!

I was going to say - can't he play another position? We have our little Freddie learning the whole infield since SS is taken. We should see him quite a bit this year actually.

| at this level of talent..i think anywhere in the infield is possible..if you can play short..you can play third imo....as long as you have an arm and quick sense... | |

I played second in Little League, GOD I hated it. My cousin was our shortstop and he was a badass back then. I moved to the OF and pitched in high school. My cousin stopped playing, he was more interested in smoking weed in high school than playing basball.

| i just liked the throw to first better...also short is like command of the infield...controls a lot or gets a lot of action...i hated that...at second i relaxed a bit...SS is a hard ass job lol | |

I was thinking along the lines of Ryan Howard - could you imagine him anywhere else? 3rd has been a special sort of hell for us the last couple of years. Polly was great when he was on the field but he was always hurt. Then the Ty Wiggington experiment (another example of disaster). I do think Michael Young could be decent though.

| I know it is only spring training, but Lester has a .90 era, hope he keeps this form in the regular season. As beat up as the Stanks are, it would be nice to leave them in a hole to dig out of in the first week. _________________ He is the Prince who was promised, and his is the song of Ice and Fire

I think the sox pitching is going to better than people think, what are your thoughts on jackie bradley jr?? send him to the minors for a couple weeks to get the extra year of control, or let the kid loose at the beginning of the year??

me too, if they want to keep him, and he's that good they can pay him a year earlier, if he isn't that good what difference does it make
