That is so sweet, MyGin! You have obviously lived in places and with people who are basically trustworthy. You do not have that "antenna" up that is very wary of people because you have had so much experience with "traps."
Unfortunately, I grew up in a place like that. You learn really really quickly that more often than not, people are trying to take advantage of you for their own gain.
Sad but true.
I so understand that mentality. And, it becomes very difficult in life to try to maintain your humanity, and treat people with goodness, when so much of your experience has taught you to not trust people.
That's one of the reasons I like this show. It's quite a balancing act in life to be a good person, and a kind person, but also to be a wise person who is not so naive as to think all people are good. That's one of the lessons these people are learning.
very true. i saw that their trepidation was that he could cause harm, also Rick expressed that he didnt want to be responsible for any more deaths.
yes i've been lucky to have lived like i have, and am certainly somewhat naive when it comes to potential violence. and i'm sorry that you arent

Yea, I have no idea how things are going to be on the show, which makes it cool, but it is also nice to recognize characters when they appear.

it was so good that i re-watched it...and i hardly ever do a re-watch on anything...i agree with the Talking Dead peeps that it's one of the best episodes of the season if not the series...top 5 at least...sophia in the barn and them discovering her at the end was one of the best...and the finale last year...and the very first episode that captured me in...

@brayingdixon There's a cool flashback coming up. Enjoy. — Glen Mazzara (@glenmazzara) March 6, 2013
Love a good flashback! Who will be featured, and when? Back in early February, Mazzara talked to TV Guide and had this little Q&A snippet:
Is Andrea's relationship with Michonne irreparable? Mazzara: "There's always hope in the world of The Walking Dead and these are characters we care about, but it's not going to be easy. We do some surprising things to illuminate that relationship and there'll even be a peek into Michonne and Andrea's history."
So it sounds like perhaps we will flash back to the time between Seasons 2 and 3, when Andrea and Michonne were together through their tough winter. Perhaps they will also find time to show the prison group when they were on the road, and maybe even Woodbury. Or not. But at least it sounds like Andrea and Michonne's history will be explored a bit more. Do you think he's teasing this for this Sunday's Episode 13, or later down the road?
On a related note, comic book writer/executive producer Robert Kirkman has said he has no interest in doing a flashback to the origin of the zombie/walker outbreak. We can understand why he feels that way, but we just don’t agree. The more history we can get out of these characters, the better we can understand them. It is easy to overdo flashbacks and weigh down the story (*cough*Lost*cough*) but a few every now and then would be welcome.
What do you think? Are you a flashback person or do you just like to keep the story moving forward?

George Edward Lynch Cotton, English clergyman and educator, assistant master at Rugby 1837-1852, the young master in Thomas Hughes's "Tom Brown's School Days". Bishop of Calcutta, 1858 where he did missionary work and established schools for Eurasian children. In requests to England he asked for donations of clothing, often emphasizing "warm socks" for the children. In fact he seems to have held the simplistic view that if the children had warm socks many of their problems, mal-nutrition, disease, racial prejudice etc. could be easily solved. Little old maiden ladies all over England spent their time knitting socks for Bishop Cotton and sending them off to India. He blessed all items used in his schools, and many shipments would arrive labeled " Socks for Cotton's blessing" and reportedly even "Cotton's socks for blessing". Cotton's socks easily became corrupted to cotton socks,
The phrase is now a term of endearment for a child who has done something sweet. It is also a way of saying thank-you. Due to its association with "sweet" children and bolstered by Cotton's simplistic views it is often used ironically, thanking someone in a position of authority for suggesting a benevolent, yet simplistic even childish view or solution for a difficult situation. Sometimes just a humorous thank you like " I'll dance at your wedding with bells on."

IMO I think they were executed by the people who were taking care of them, not by raiders after their stuff...they realized they couldn't protect all of them any more...

we can talk about what has happened... if you havent seen the show - dont come in here!
Daryl and Gov's guy male bonding ... excellent Same with Hershel and Smithers. loved the connections they made Andrea - just stahp. Rick.. is it just me or is he getting hotter? I thought for sure something would happen when Maggie and Glen were doing it What do you think is going to happen during the "war"? Andreas "look" at the gov when he was explaining the trade off? I figure she doesnt buy it. I kinda want her to go back to her group, but i can see her being a leader at woodbury once the gov is killed, which i assume he will be

Did anybody notice the Walkers became more agitated, to the extent of biting on the fence, when they saw Glen and Maggie starting to do it? Wonder if sex gets them going too...just in a different way...LOL at Glen saying "I can't do it"...ya think?
Seems like as time goes on, the Walkers' heads become more and more like rotten pumpkins...exploding on contact almost...
Somebody should take thet fence post Andrea is on, and stick it where the sun don't shine...ANYthing to get her to decide, one way or the other. Even Merle is right on this...us or them, Mandrea, us or them

I think Andrea made her choice to rejpin the Prison last night, she is probably gonna sabotage some stuff and maybe bring a few over to the Prison side, including Tyreese.

That would be a best case scenario EZ...think Milton could be encouraged to cross over? He might be a little disillusioned with the Gov, and he and Herschel were starting a little bromance there.."I'm not going to show you my stump..buy me a drink first"
