I felt the whole ep was kind of a let down, I thought the first 2 finales were much better.

I think the other finales were more dramatic in an action kind of sense. But, I think this finale was emotionally gripping.

I cried when Andrea died.

And Rick not seeing Lori on the bridge also had me in tears.

Seeing Carl get so hardened was emotional.

And for me, when the Gov was killing his own people, I actually gasped when I was watching that!

Maybe it's a male vs female kind of difference?

Yea, I actually cheered when Andrea died, and I still don't understand why the Woodsbury people ran, they had the numbers. They built up to this showdown all season and it was kinda weak to me.

Andrea has always annoyed me, but I cried when she died.

As far as the Woodbury people running, I think that was realistic.

They were afraid of him now and probably didn't know how many were on his side. So, they just decided to leave.

I wasn't really expecting a big showdown, so maybe it was a matter of expectations too? I know they were trying to get you to think that, but I don't place much stock in things like that.

There are so many surprises in a show like this that I wasn't really expecting anything.

Having read the comics, I did have high expectations, but they completely diverted from the comics, I have no idea where things are going next.

I agree EZ - it was a let-down. it all kind of just BOOM happened... then done.
i was like at first when they all took off, but then i figured it did make sense as 98% of them had no idea what was going on, and had been told by the Gov how dangerous these people were and they were scared.
I was surprised that the Gov and his two guys (at least) didnt stay to keep blowing stuff up with their giant guns.

I would have laid siege to the prison, set up a sniper or two, and starve them out.

The Woodbury people reminded me of Arthur and his knights running away from the killer rabbit

Did you notice? Glen and Maggie didn't actually shoot anybody....Carl was the only killer from the group that day...Michonne's and Rick's didn't count...

Or set up an ambush on the road outside the prison, something to make them stop and get out to clear the road, then attack there, and at the prison at the same time....

i think Gov was in a bad zone at that time and followed the group - though i really dont get why. he had blood in his eyes and i think in reality would have stayed and did just that.

One of the guns jammed, when that idiot Alan, tried to use it.

I liked the ending, mostly. I was not surprised when the "regular people" from Woodbury, ran. A few flash bangs, some walkers, and people firing on them, yeah they ran. Pretty sure, Martinez and Shum, wished they had as well.

Since I have never read the books or comics I have no idea, how the Rick, Daryl, Tyreese and Glen thing will work. Glen has been front and center, and is a badass, I do not want the writers, to push Glen or Daryl aside, because of Tyresse.

The Gov lacks subtlety, he thinks a show of brute force of strength is the way to go. If he had read any book, about Ancient wars, he would have known about a siege, and how it works.

In Arrow on my doorstep, eppie, the Gov knew Rick and CO, had gotten a shitload of guns and ammo. Why did that spy/lurker/idiot, not tell the Gov, that Rick and Co. had left the prison. Unless the Gov, had withdrawn his spy. But I do not think the Gov would have done that, or he may have, thinking Rick would show up at the meeting place with Michonne. lol,

Yeah, he was so crazy, no rational plan would have satisfied him.

he also has that superiority/ god complex. i dont think he ever once expected to lose in any way. his confidence prevented him from actually planning a proper attack. though the initial attack was pretty fierce.

Yeah who knows what different attitude he may come back with in the fall, after living out in the wild for who knows how long...maybe he'll go all Rambo on them, resort to guerilla warfare and sniper shooting. Maybe he'll investigate that hole blown into the prison form the other side...

Sniper tactics, pull back for 2 days, then hit again, blow up a car or 2, then nothing for a week, then another attack on a group that was going for supplies, Mix it up.

I like how you all think. His show of force was good, and would have worked, if Ric and Co, had not out thought him. The Gov under estimated him, and IMO will not do so again. On the other hand, Rick and Co, know the Gov, is still out there, and he will not be caught un awares, no matter how safe they feel. Or so I think.

I also think that the Govs "God Complex" will be his undoing.
