The ball was flying outta Wrigley tonight. Out pitching is worn out. Matheny is making some odd choices. The Cubbies might have the magic this year.
What do you think of Chase Utley's slide, Blondie?

I thought his slide was late, but I don't think it was dirty. It's a baseball move. Your job is to break up the double play, especially in the playoffs. It's unfortunate that Tejada broke his leg, but I don't think Utley had any bad intentions when he did it.

Exactly what EZ said. That's what chase has been doing forever. NY hates Utley because he's killed them for years. And tejada is already walking on it. It's only a big deal because of the injury. But next season we will have a Tejada rule.

So do I. We've had outs overturned because our catcher had his foot in the way.

Thanks. Congrats to the cubbies. I could make excuses all day but they won. I hope management is ready to spend money to keep Heyward. I'm a little tired of being a consistent winning team and not spending money.

don't make me throw a baseball at you
I wish my team were in the position to be consistently good without being bogged down with huge contracts. We're what? 2-3 years and counting from getting out from underneath that mess.
It was fun while it lasted though.

Definitely still watching but I'm not over powered by it, obviously. It's nice to watch baseball when you're not hanging on every pitch.

Sorry about the loss JJ, congrats on the win Derek! Good luck to your Cubs the rest of the way.
Our bullpen is going to lead me to drink. We blew that last game. McHugh is starting tonight and I would definitely bring Keuchel out of the pen if need be.

Cubs Blue Jays Dodgers if they advance Royals if they advance (seems like they will) Even the mets are kinda blue.

Ugh, that was tough but I have to give the Royals credit, they were clutch when they needed to be. Good luck to them the rest of the way.
We're only a couple of years removed from a 51 win season, I'm excited about our future. This was the most fun I've had watching baseball in a long time. Very good season for the Astros. Can't wait for when pitchers and catchers report

Dominic Brown finally outrighted from the 40 man. One can only hope he elects free agency and frees us from having to watch him.
If there was a player who was the epitome of our bad scouting system, its him. Once a top, untradable prospect, he went on to bat around .225 with limited power and awful defense.
Luckily this move (and many more that already happened) signifies that this organization is finally getting serious about rebuilding.
