Well, our guys are talking about how great it was to win last night because the next 3 games are going to be tough. So I wouldn't put anything past your dudes. And, the Cards tend to struggle against struggling teams. (that is not a blow to the Phils, they're just not on their "A"-game right now).

Well, we either score 10 + runs or score none...yesterday was surprising that we even snuck the runs in that we did because usually it's not close, it's all or nothing...and our bullpen is struggling without a solid closer.

Tigers couldn't do a thing for Verlander last night...wasted a good outing, with 12 strikeouts in 7 innings...it seems he has to pitch a near shutout every time he goes out, he's 2-2 with a 2.12 era...

We split the 4 game series with the Cards which honestly was 2 more wins than I figured we'd get. The bats looked slightly less pathetic. One more week until Chooch returns. He is our glue and heart and soul.

Disasterous weekend for the Tigers, swept by the Angels...road trip ended up 4-5 after starting so promising...Sunday's 13-inning loss was especially hard to lose....

The Sox double header yesterday wasn't any better, snapped their 7 game winning streak and lost both games to the Royals.

the royals are a little betteer team this year i think than in years past, i was impressed with webster, he looked pretty good and could fill in if they need a 5 th starter.

They had their chances to win both games and didn't get the hits when they neded them, and made a acouple of baserunning errors. Andrew Miller has been shaky the last 2 times I've seen him

yeah , I know what you mean, i was just looking to see whne he is coming back off the DL and said to myself, i can't believe I'm looking forward to getting him back.

Middlebrooks is really struggling, and so far I am not impressed at all with drew, they could use a little more pop in the lineup, hopefully Ortiz will take some heat off of them and they will get their hits.

still waiting for the weather to warm up a little too, thats when the bats will heat up I think.

Yea Middlebrooks is struggling, but I wouldn't send him down just yet. Like you said, it is still cold and hopefully they heat up with the weather.

We beat the Pirates but of our 3 runs, one was on a wild pitch and another was on a bases loaded hit by pitch. They had plenty of opportunities, they just don't have that big hit.

Sunday we get him back. That should help.

We debuted a new pitcher - Jonathan Pettibone. He did pretty well. I'm guessing he'll pitch again in 5 days. He's one of the prospects that could be in the rotation in a year. He's also the one who scored on the wild pitch. The Phillies hate walking and this kid did it in his first at bat.

i'd say we have seen enough of the Aceves experiment, if Lackey isn't ready this weekend, we need to drop someone down, bring up webster, and put Aceves in the pen and hope we don't need much long relief.

So it sucks that I STILL can't watch an Astros game and many fans are getting frustrated, but I am going to a game in late May. It's been a few years since I've been to Minute Maid Park. Seeing them play against the A's will be fun.

I really think part of the reason is that his name is Buster....and he tends to overshadow Molina.
