| Under the Dome is an upcoming American science-fiction horror television series developed by Brian K. Vaughan based upon the novel of the same name by Stephen King. Both Vaughan and King will serve as executive producers along with Neal Baer, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Stacey Snider. Baer will serve as day-to-day showrunner. Danish director Niels Arden Oplev will direct the pilot. The premiere of Under the Dome is scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10PM on CBS.

| I saw a commercial for this - it doesn't look half bad.
I'll probably watch it even though I normally dislike SK tv and movies.

| Jeff Fahey (Lapidus) is supposed to play the sheriff - Spoiler:
so he'll only last about 2 episodes
The guy who played Zach Shelby on Bates Motel will be playing Barbara. Big Jim Rennie will be played by Dean Norris (Hank, breaking bad)...looks like a good cast.

I'll probably watch it even though I normally dislike SK tv and movies. I like the movies and tv shows made from King books, but I don't really like his books. His books border on soft porn to me. I think his story lines are really good though. |

| I can live with that spoiler JJ, for reasons, I do not want to post because it was labeled spoiler.
I read the book not long ago, not a super fan of the ending, but the rest of the book was good. _________________ She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

| Every time I pick up one of his books, it seems right from the get go there's lots of explicit sex stuff, or talk or fantasy. Also, I find his language a bit vulgar at times.
But, I really like his story lines, and I like the TV movies because they leave out a lot of the stuff from his books that I don't like.

Iggy, I'm a little over half way through the book. I have only ever read one Steven King book, Cujo... the book thoroughly describes the sexual relations of the mother... something that was not even hinted at in the movies from what I can recall My fav Steven King movies I have seen is the pet cemetary ones... I like those ones _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

| Stephen King is very detailed orientated and descriptive - I don't find a lot of sexual situations in his books but if he writes it, you can pretty much picture it in your head. He definitely works with adult material. | |

even though i loathed this book, the ads for the show look alright. and since it's SK of course we'll watch I've never read one of his books through til the end. I buy one every once in awhile hoping it will be better, but I just get annoyed and stop reading. I was looking on my book shelf to give you guys an example, but I haven't kept any of his books. I sell most of my books back to the used book store and only keep a few of the ones I really like. |

| "Soft porn" wasn't really the best choice of words.
His sex stuff seems to be rather vulgar and twisted. Nothing I've ever read of his seems to describe sex in a healthy way. It just annoys me. |

| He himself is sick and twisted I guess it just doesn't faze me - I'm used to the blood and gore so everything is just a part of it. He isn't for everybody. You should try 11-22-63 - I read it a year ago and I don't remember anything really offensive in it and the supernatural stuff is about time travel. Its a great story. | |

| i dont recall anything really twisted but maybe i'm just either a) paying attention to the story or 2) twisted. Yes 11-22-63 is fantastic Colleen- other than a normal romance, there isnt anything vulgar Lisey's story was also very sweet if i recall correctly Bag of Bones was also clean.. | |

Yes, I love Game of Thrones! Just finished reading the second book - Clash of Kings. Starting on the 3rd now. The sex in that book doesn't bother me. Not sure why. Maybe I've hit on some deep psychological issues that I've kept hidden. |
