| Previewing Monday’s season finale, Dean “Big Jim” Norris told Matt Mitovich, “You’re going to learn a lot about the Dome. It’s all very satisfying and it will make you go, ‘Oh, wow. OK, how are they going to play that out in Season 2?’ It sets up for a great second season.” Looking even further down the line, Norris let slip with this teaser for the eventual series finale: “There is a final ending for Under the Dome that is different than the book. And when it was pitched to Stephen King, he said, ‘Wow. I wish I’d thought of that.’” _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

I think it was to make a point. Big Jim talked about how his grandfather built the last one in Chester's Mill. Ya know, just dramatics and all.

| Ruined Linda is right. I really dislike her, she is like a sheep. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, because she has known Big Jim, longer than Barbie. She is the law in that town, and IMO Jim should answer to her, she does not answer to him. It is her job, to uphold the law, and not hang a man without a hearing.
I wasn't overly thrilled with the finale, not sure what I expected, but not that.
Maybe I am to picky. _________________ She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

| Thanks JJ, I was beginning to think I was the only one, not thrilled with it.
While I thought the alien thing was a cop out in the book, because of how old the aliens were, and why they did what they did. I do like that they introduced aliens, to explain the dome, and it was an adult, with a supposedly good reason, for the dome. At least I hope it is a good reason. _________________ She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

| They all have put a lot of trust in Big Jim and he claimed to be a witness and that Barbie tried to kill him as well so... also Linda is under the impression that Barbie shot Dorty and burned down the radio station, so that alone is going to make her want to get Barbie... and than with the painting she looked at with Big Jim she now thinks he is important...
I like the finale and will for sure watch next year, but here are some observations I made....
I am interested in what happens to the dome now because it is doing the exact same thing as the mini-dome before it exploded and turned to ash...
I think that there is a chance that Big Jim is not suppose to die and is in fact an important part of all this... I am starting to think that the kids misunderstood what the dome was telling them and maybe they are actually suppose to prevent Big Jim from being killed and the dome was just showing them how he would be killed if they don't stop it... I hate Big Jim but he seems like an important character and I can't imagine him being killed off any time soon...
I really hope that Barbie does not get killed off.. she threw his tags in the water with the egg, I don't know if that was done because Barbie is going to die for sure or she thinks he is or he is going to be like a sacrifice... _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.

| I doubt Barbie or Big Jim dies - they're the best characters and their interaction is pretty much driving the show.

actually, yes http://tuebl.ca/browse/author/820you can download an epub, then use this link http://www.2epub.com/ to convert it to whatever you want. PDF will work. I have the old microsoft reader downloaded on my work computer (for when I used to have time to kill) so I convert to .lit - that's like a primitive version of kindle.

Desi, you bring up some interesting points and ideas. I have read the book, and while I am not thrilled or happy with the way things are panning out, I understand it (except for Linda) for the sake of tv ratings. The Linda in the book, was nothing like the Linda on the show. Sorry to say that, but it is the truth. _________________ She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

| Question: I have to wait so long until Season 2 of Under the Dome! Can you please give me some hint as to what the future holds for Barbie? —Alicia Ausiello: A tighter, more compelling narrative? That’s my personal hope, anyway. I’m encouraged by something Dean Norris told us Saturday at BAFTA’s pre-Emmy Team Party. “I’m meeting with producers to start sorting it out, but [Season 2] is going to be good,” he said. “We get to reboot the whole thing… I think there’s going to be some changes. They want to beef it up in a lot of ways.” Bonus Scoop: Norris confirms that “Stephen King is going to write the first episode.” _________________ The Sun lit the Earth like never before.
