yea i kno..at first i thought he was choking on throwing to second ..but then i seen that the ball was stuck...cuz we coulda had a DP...does suck he cant throw to first or doesnt like checking runners..no one told me this when we signed him...we shoulda signed Shields instead jeez

what surprises me is that noone really challenges him, he's had that problem forever, but nobody forces him to throw the ball over there

Addison Russel finally got the call up....Rizzo, Soler, Bryant, Addy are gonna be a force to deal with in the next few years :) o yeah and Castro is maturing finally and tearing it up....exciting time for the lovable losers :)

the red sox have out scored their opponents 8-1 in the last 2 games, with 6 of those runs being unearned due to errors on the field.

they won last night 1-0 on a throwing error on a double play that should have ended the inning. that being said, the pitching looks , at least for now a little more stable. Miley and masterson both pitched well. Porcello is worrisome, and ya never know what bucholz is gonna do, but for this week at least so far so good

just saw that 27% of all the runs scored by the sox are unearned. The defensive play has been horrid to start the year, at least against the red sox

Yeah Bucholz is great one game, awful the next, it's a coin toss on what you are going to get. We still need a ace

yea i seen parts of that agame....i get the Strike Zone...it flips to all the games and skips the boring parts..shows all the hits and good plays and just updates...its pretty cool watching it...

I've never heard of that. Sometimes the MLB app will have a condensed game video that just shows the good stuff. They don't do it for all games but I've found it helpful for day games during working hours. I subscribe to MLB radio so I can listen but it's nice to see it later on.

Strike Zone is a DISH thing...kinda like the RedZone for NFL.....its awesome...

does anyone think the umpires are different this year?..like calling a tighter strike zone and being more zero tolerant....MLB was complaining of lack of offense (which is what fans want to see and pay for) ...so maybe theyre making the pitchers throw down the middle more so hitters can hit...ive seen so much fighting and arguing this year its unreal...MLB is doing something...im suspicious

the strike zone is smaller this year, they are taking away the lower strikes

the strike zone is causing all types of arguments and ejections...seems like the umps have a zero tolerance thing goin....but i swear the MLB complained about lack of offense...so they squeeze the strike zone....theres something goin on

taking away the lower strike will give more offense, it forces pitchers to keep the ball up in the zone and that should result in more hits...i say should but with the lack of offense in general it may take some time to be noticeable

it is working wonders with Porcello. he is a sinkerball pitcher that has been getting rocked because he keeps the pitches up too high

I just wish the strike zone was consistent. Some umps change it continually throughout the game (Angel Hernandez is good for that - he's the worst ump out there).

I think the lack of offense is from more and more "power" pitchers coming up. When have we had so many that can throw close to 100 consistently?

yeah he sucks, and you're right. I think the arguments so far are because one inning they don't call the low strike, the next they do. also, I think the speeding up of the ganme rules are actually working, i wasn't sure if it was going to make a difference but it seems to be working

all in all i just think the umps have sucked this year so far...they must have had a meeting about how to treat the game.....i hate game reviews too or challenges...they want to speed the game up but allow that...but they wont let the pitcher have a group meeting for more than a minute...

I think the American league needed rule that more than we did. Our games are usually wrapped up in 3 hrs anyway, unless its extras.

Cliff Lee's games would go about 2.5 - he ran on and off the mound

I don't usually mind the challenges but sometimes they do get out of hand.

ive seen them make the wrong call on replay challenges too ....o well...

our game was 1-1, I went to take a shower and came back to us losing 6-1.  They turned into the Bad News Bears and gave up 5 (FIVE) UNEARNED RUNS

they lost their closer for the season too, but they don't have much to give back. we could send 3 outfielders and still have enough

I don't think we're looking for as much for Pap - unless we have to pay the money (although his salary isn't too terrible considering how good he's been).

I know his mouth is troubling but our pen has gotten a lot better with him. He may even shut up if he's winning
