I could really get use to this whole winning every series thing the Cards have going on right now.

I would be happy to win a series, is that to much to ask?

The Red Sox pitching staff has an ERA of 6.68, worst in the majors. The bullpen, after giving up 13 earned runs in three innings Saturday afternoon -- the Yankees scored seven runs apiece in the seventh and eighth -- now has an ERA of 8.44, also the worst in the majors.

all is well, we have marlon byrd now i liked derek's offer better, but instead we give up a pitcher cuz, you know we don't need any more of those.. Even though he never impressed me, Bowden is still a better pitcher than what the Cubs gave us for theo. OMG they are terrrrible, just terrrible

I got to see the ring ceremony game and the game we smoooshed the Reds 11-1 so far

4 games left for me this year!!!

So, Cliff Lee is on the 15 day DL; Kyle Kendrick will take his place in the rotation.

Ryan Howard has a dr appt to see if he can resume baseball activities (insert prayer smiley here)


Holding steady at .500 I think. Dropping 2 to the Padres when we would normally sweep them is just the new normal I guess

yeah i think I have to get used to a new "normal " too that game saturday stunk so bad i could smell it from 150 miles away

the sox don't have either of those, occasionally they can hit, but even that is sporadic, one game 8 runs the next 2 nuthin
Their pitching is a shambles, and i don't really see anything fixing it, the bullpen is as bad as i've ever seen

SO if the Sox continue to play like this, maybe Valentine won't make it out of April.

yeah, though I really don't think it matters who wears the manager's jersey at this point, they are just not a very good team right now

I am! I was at the game that Sunday after the ring ceremony against the Cubs where smooshed them 10-3! I'm going to the game May 1st as well (college night, the tickets were only 10 bucks)!

the good news is that they finally scored some runs - in the 9th

Worley today and Hamels tomorrow so at least we have a really decent chance at winning.

And Chase Utley is back with the team and has started fielding and participating in batting practice Progress!!!!

I still have to locate an update on Howard.

When they come back........things should improve. I think this is a team that is greater than the sum of the parts. I don't think anyone saw just how weak they'd be without those guys.

lol i dono..but i really like Mather..he did awesome in spring training...glad Byrd has moved on so we can play him more...

So Pence is getting a MRI on his shoulder today. Hopefully he'll be ok and not have to go on the DL.

Howard may be able to begin baseball activities in a week. That's somewhat encouraging. The original injury is healed.
