i didnt get to watch all of it..just the first few innings JJ..and it appeared that Dejesus never even touched home on that play at the plate..not sure how he was safe there really..you can even see him scrambling to try to touch after he slid past but he seen the ump call safe so he just trotted off... judgy

though he did get 2 hits last night, and i think shot his average up about 75 points

Byrd is a good player to have in the club house...good attitude..good mentor to young ones..can be a team leader in the club house too...he can hit..i wouldnt worry about the low average..hes just starting off slow...he'll be a 270ish hitter at least..decent temporary replacement

actually i don't mind the pick up, he's alot better option than repko, who couldn't hit a friggen dirgible, and hopefully bucholz pitches decent tonite.

Pence is ok - he belted a 2 run homer last night. Worley pitched great and some of the other hitters came around a little yay

Going for 2 in a row with Hamels on the mound this afternoon.

I'm sure its just a fluke but its nice to know that they can physically hit the ball hard.

There was another blown call...I don't know who it was trying to steal second but he was clearly out but was called safe and I believe he was the winning run. I. Am. Not. Happy. Losing our first series to the Cubs.

So, after 19 games we stand at 9-10

Which is the same record we started with in 2008

they scored 20 runs in the AZ series after only scoring 2 or less per game until then. I can't say that they've finally clicked but they do look a lot better.

And Hamels is a beast - he even knocked in 2 runs

I'm actually feeling a little better, Doubront pitched well again, and you gotta think that the top three will turn it around. beckett has pitched pretty well in his last two starts, if lester and Buch can just stop throwing meatballs over the plate they'll be fine. loks like 20 million down the toilet this year fro crawford though, you watch, the next thing you'll hear is he needs surgery and will be out the entire season

right now he's out indefinitely, they say it's a sprained ulnar collateral( tommy John) ligament. My prediction is he ends up having surgery

I'm not quite there yet, and jason bay has broken ribs , he's pretty much been hurt since he left, but they paid alot more than they should have, and for alot longer, it's the years that kill them, the money might as well be canadain tire money, but it's the years they have to do it for that handcuff them and make it impossible to trade the guy or just cut him and pay him.

Bay is out now and was out for most of last year. And when he did play, it wasn't good. Of course, last year Citi Field killed most hitters
