that's why i have a problem with banning dogs, when I was a kid, I was a paperboy, and got bit twice, once by a german shepard, and once by some stupid terrier mix dog. The terrior mix blasted thru the screen door of the house and ripped up my leg. the shepard just was scared and bit me on the arm and ran awaay I had 2 customers who had pit bulls, and they were the friendliest dogs I ever met. My niece has a pit, i call him Blockhead, the most danger you are in from him is getting bruises on your shins when he wags his tail

When I was a kid I got bit by my babysitters dog...it was a beagle. Bit me right on the lip, still have the scar to prove it. I can take a bone right out of Lady's mouth and she just sighs at me.

I had a vicious hotdog on my street growning up - that thing chased me home from the bus stop everyday. I was scared of it

Then I went home to my German Shepherd, who everyone else in the neighborhood was afraid of

my sister in law has a little...hell i don't know what the hell it is, a pocket dog is what i call it, that has a mean streak a mile long, his mouth is too small to do any damage, but he tries, that little bastard tries to mean.

It sucks for Andy Reid, he's a great coach.

Reid seems to think he has a different team than what he does. He's too predictable. Even I know what they're going to do on every play - its no wonder that the opposition does too.

I'm glad some teams are having an interesting off season. The Phillies haven't done shit so far. The Braves and Nationals are picking up players left and right.

We don't even have any rumors now that Upton signed. I'm guessing that since we underbid by $20 mil he actually wasn't our first choice.

my guess is they try like hell to trade salty, and have lavarnway and napoli split the catching duties, or add in ross and have all 3 of them split the duties. I think they want to keep lavarnway, and salty is tradable, for another piece. everyone saya how well napoli hits in Fenway, but they forget he was facing the red sox pitching staff, still I like the pick up, and for 3 years i can live with it, at least he has some plate discipline which was sorely lacking last year

Vic is good. He has some brain lapses that will drive you crazy but he's a good guy (no beer and wings) and he will work hard to impress you. As long as he's not the "star" he's a great addition.

by brain lapse I mean he can watch the 3 preceding batters walk on 4 pitches, then he'll get up there and swing at the first pitch and manage to pop up into a double play. Things like that.

right now our pitching is lester, Bucholz, Lackey, doubront, and god only knows who else. and if anyone thinks the hitting is better than it was in august lat year before the trade, they're crazy. I see a long year ahead.

I hear the Utley is "on a mission" - let's hope so.

Halladay also claims to be healthy - of course, he claimed that last year


We're not used to this patience thing that they're employing this year. I know Ruben's been criticized for moving too fast but this is ridiculous. They've done nothing. The Braves and Nationals are moving in all directions.

This may be a long season for us too.

We're looking for a miracle worker and there's just not one there.

Our biggest need is for our big contract guys to be what they are paid to be - Howard and Utely need to be in the running for comeback player of the year - that's what we need.

And for Cliff Lee to win more than 2 or 4 games.

the problem with trying to trade him is whomever he gets traded to will have the same problem the sox have, which is going to be signing him after the season, i think no matter where he goes he's gonna try ourt free agency, especially with Boras as an agent, which means noone will want to give up anything unless they know he is signable, which I don't think he is right now. especially with the money guys like victorino and napoli, and BJ upton are getting. he's gonna hold out, hope he has another great season, and ask for the world

I don't think the Phils do much with Boras' clients

OF is overpriced this year. By that account I guess I'm a little glad that they haven't done anything yet. But I think they're getting backed into a corner now.

I went to lunch and came back to find out they traded Worley for the Twins' CF, Ben Revere

I'll miss Worley but I guess I can admit that as a 5th starter he was totally replaceable.
