Hopefully that ass beating means whatever voodoo the Rangers had on the Sox is now over. I hope so, they're up against a pitcher coming off the DL tonite, hopefully Lackey can continue pitching well, he's been fairly consistent, if they can score him a few runs they should be good

that's 18 now he's gonna get suspended for PED use Ryan Braun too, I am a little disappointed in that, but these days you almost have to think that everyone is guilty of doping, I was glad that there weren't any Red Sox on the list out of Miami.
I don't think we had any either alot of yankees and former yanks, A-roid,Cervelli, melky cabrera. My FIL says he want them to suspend A-rod, me I would rather they didn't so i can watch the Yankees have to pay him 30 million a year to NOT perform, enhanced or otherwise

| I though A-Rod was done anyway. but yeah, I'd love to see this put him out of the Hall of Fame too - a life long cheater does not belong there. In other news, I was just informed that we are actually in 2nd place now - by 1/2 game And I'm going to the game on 06/17 - against the Nats. Its $1.00 dog night | |

I agree, i would have signed him to a 3 year deal in 2011, he is the face of the damn team, and with the money everyone else gets it's chickenfeed what they are paying him. They all said he was old, I guess they don't think that because he's a DH, he may be able to keep up the hitting a few years longer than someone who played the field his whole career 42 RBI in 42 games says it all to me

| 5 in a row - its against the Marlins and the Brewers but whatever.
The pitching has been pretty solid and we're getting hits from pretty much everyone in the lineup.
Its taken 2 freaking months but it looks like they are waking up.

| and the Braves lost and the Nats were raining out so we made up ground.
as long as they are within striking distance, they will buy I think. They have too much invested not too.
plus we still have Utley and Ruiz and Halladay on the DL - anyone of those 3 should make us better.

42 RBI in 42 games says it all to me When I think of Papi at his best , it was during the 2004 ALCS, he saved both games 4 and 5, without his bat there would have been no bloody sock!

yeah that too, which would have made him somewhere between 28 and 38 according the Dominican republic's age verification system

| He was great back then, but I honestly think he is a better overall hitter now than he was then, the one good thing the A-GOn did while he was a red sock was teach him how to lay off pitches and to hit left handed pitchers | |

| Tigers sweep the Indians, open up a 5 1/2 game lead But again those were home games, and they clean up at home...they have to find away to win on the road. Something is missing mentally, ideally there shouldn't be much difference in record between home and away... |

Knew they'd come around...maybe it's the warmer weather...I know that has to be what's making Verlander postiively average this season - the hotter it gets, the better he pitches.... |

| And once again, the Tigers go on the road, and except for Cabrera, they leave their bats back in Detroit.... he hit the laziest home run last night, just swung like he was hitting fielding practice...and the damn ball ended up going 412 feet... |

he did, somebody hit a homerun and he spit his gum at him when he ran by. the sox managed to win that game last night, scored 6 runs in the 1st, then slowly gave it all back to a tie, git up 8-6 in extra innings, gave that back, then won in the 14th.
