Their gearing up for the off season - they removed 6 players from the 40-man roster. None of them fit the direction they want to go. Just players with nothing to offer than emergency fill ins.

that's the first step, next is to sign a few free agents to short term, even if you over pay for them, and hopefully you have a couple of youngsters ready to move up in the league and bing bang boom, the team is in first place and ready to make a run in the playoffs.....well at least that's how it worked out in Boston

We have a couple youngins that I expect to be around

The biggest need is a power bat, a bonafide, guaranteed home run hitter

Ironically enough, I have a Victorino jersey now. It was originally a Johhny Damon jersey, then a Dice-K jersey. I love how Boston doesn't put names on Jerseys, makes it easy to keep them. tongue

As much fun as I had last night, I feared the bats would be cold today and I was right. Hopefully they're hot again on Sunday in Pittsburgh. I have such a hard time watching away playoff games. I mute most of them, it's one of my superstitious things. lol

I hope the bats stay hot for boston too. I wouldn't mind an '04 rematch either.

Beltran is a beast and I so wish the team could help him get a ring.
We should have started Miller instead of Lynn in game 2. Joe Kelly did a great job today, wish the bullpen could have held it together.

Andrew McCutchen is a badass and deserves to win at some point but I don't want it to be against us! wah

not too shabby, up 2-0 and arguably our best pitcher going in game 3, saturday's game really surprised me, i didn't think we could hit Price, mostly since we had never been able to in the past.

He was crying like a bitch after the game.

I can't wait to see how Buch pitches tonite, another few days off to set up the rotation would be great, but it's nice to have Buch and then peavey lined up ,

I think they are in a zone right now, they want the world series, and this team isn't dependent on one or two bats to make things happen, I really think that someone will hit, be it the top , middle or bottom of the order, somebody is gonna hit. Cool
