me too, though they are hot, and so is texas, I would much rather see them than either tampa or texas either way, the team they face will be down one ace pitcher when they show up at fenway, and the weather for the first 2 games looks nice and warm also, it's supposed to be in the high 70's low 80's later in the week here

not yet, Lester will start game 1, after that, who knows, they did give lackey the day off yesterday, so he may be number 2, but all of them will be well rested and ready to go. C'mon friday!!!!!

| I can't wait, it's been 4 stinking years since the Sox made the playoffs, and they haven't won a series since 2008. | |

| I think this year was his best year managing in Texas, if you consider all the talent they lost to FA, and drug suspensions. I would give him another year. | |

He'll probably last another year, unless they struggle out of the gate next year

| Just because Boston fires the greatest manager they ever had due to a September stumble doesn't mean every team will. | |

Hopefully they'll still feel bad about themselves when next season opens. I mentioned that we start on the road in interleague play, right?

that's what i want, to play Cleveland, then beat the A's, because half of their team is former red sox players, then play LA in the world series, with A-GOn and Crawford. Of course beating the wild card winner is first, one step at a time

| Yea, I don't think the Dodgers will make it, I think it will be St Louis/Boston. I do want the Indians to beat the Rays though and come to Boston. I hope the Pirates beat the Reds too. | |

The Motor City kitties have good pitching, which will help them, but yeah they need to warm up a bit, maybe a trip to sunny CA will help them out.

| Cabrera hasn't had an extra base hit since Aug 26 (unless he got one in this last series), he's the heart of the offense...their 5th starter, Rick Porcello, will go to the bullpen for the playoffs, which will help them greatly, sice their long relievers aren't great. |

I find it crazy for you to say that, with that line up.... They've been shutout twice in the last ten games, they ended the season offewnsively with a whimper....their final game was a no-hit loss I can only hope that what they say about the playoffs, that they're won with pitching, is true... |

| I don't know - it seems that whoever is hottest moves the farthest
we went all in with pitching in 2010 and 2011 and without a couple of runs we were eliminated early.

| and so they they will meet tampa, again, in the playoffs.
The rivalry continues.
hats off to Tito and the Indians for a good season, they will be in the mix next year, they have a good core of young guys there and need a little more power in their lineup to compete for a championship

| thy ke talking abut the fact the Rays have no money yet continue to compete.
yes they have a good front office, but they also have a most likely billionaire ownership group that chooses not to spend money, and a fan base that is comprised of mostly New england and New york retirees that only go to games when the Yankeees or red sox are there
So sick of the woe is me we are poor thing with them, listen they have been right there for years now, win it or shutthefuckup
