| If Lester pitches like his last 2 starts the your friend should have a great time. | |

| So after 23 consecutive scoreless innings, the Phils score 20 runs in 2 games there's just no consistancy. either the pitching is on and the offense is off or vice versa. One bright spot is that they are finally letting Cody Ashe play everyday and he's rewarding them by batting over .300 and raking in RBI's this month. If they could just get Dominic Brown going, then they could actually do something. The Rollins, Utley, Howard, Ruiz combo is mostly doing fine this year. They need support. I think we're back to 2 games under .500. Luckily the whole division sucks right now so its still anyone's game. | |

| the hitting is just freakin terrible, they cannot get a hit when guys are on base, they just roll over a short hopper to the 2nd baseman or shortstop for an easy double play or throw to first to end the threat.
they have hit into more double plays already this year than I remember from all of last year

yes, that's what happened friday night, lester had a rough start, gave up 1 run in the first.......that was the only scoring of the game, last night they scored 1 run in the second, then peavey gave up a few and it was over. they have no punch, what is killing me is watching guys stand there with the effin bat on their shoulder for strike 3 with men on base. never ever should that happen, IDGAF what the score is or how close the pitch was, when a guy is on base ready to score, swing the friggin bat, I'd rather see a pop up to the pitcher or a foul ball caught by the catcher than watch a guy stand there and then walk away talking to himself

Jayson Werth was great at leaving the bat literally on his shoulder the entire at bat what's with Drew do you think? You think he's still holding out for a 4 year deal?

I can't wait to see who replaces Lee - he should be out at least 2-3 weeks
I think there's a couple of guys in AAA that we ok in spring training. Our normal go-to is contemplating surgery.
anyway, at least the offense looks alive this week

wouldn't that be a pisser, make him sit again next spring because noone wants to give anything up for him no, he won't have a draft pick attached to him this time but apparently there could be a lot more SS to choose from so he may not be in such a good position either way

| I don't understand what is wrong, this is essentially the same team that won the World Series a year ago! Losing Ells and Salty can't affect them this much, can it? | |

honestly i think salty hurt more than ells, but he hurt too, it changed the entire lineup, now you have pedey hitting leadoff, which he isn't suited for, but losing salty i think hurt them against righties, as he mashed righties last year. you have 2 old catchers that aren't hitting, you have a young centerfielder not hitting, you have a shortstop and thirdbasemenn not hitting.

| no power in the outfield whatsoever, nava not even on the team right now.
if you look closely, they have most of the same players, but none of them are doing what they did last year and the new additions aren't doing much of anything at all.
They need to make a deal for kemp or ethier with LA, one of those two could help put some pop in the lineup.
Drew will help defensively, but he's a 250 hitter at best and won't solve the run production at all

Out pen is killing us. The offense is usually passable, except for the weeks the don't score anything at all

| I think it is too early for trades, but if the Rangers aren't improved soon, the will start whole sale trading. They have 15 guys on the DL at the moment, they have been plagued with injuries. | |
