| Ben Revere hit his first major league home run last night.
I missed it because I turned the game off in disgust when they starting losing - again.

it sure was a long week and a half that's for sure. Maybe they will turn a corner and this will be a launching point, but I really don't see them being strong enough to make it to the playoffs without some major changes to that lineup.

| I was actually surprised to see that he's killing it in the All Star votes. The team is so bad that you forget that he's having a career year. I didn't even hear about the 2 outs in the 9th thing. They were mainly talking about Howard last night. That was Howard's first walk off HR in 4 years If he's hot, they are a way different team. 9 RBI's in 2 games. Long series with the Mets starts tonight. Again, they could make a move here if they can muster the energy needed to win two nights in a row. | |

Looks like Rubby Delarossa will taking Buch's spot in the rotation, looking forward to seeing what he has to offer.

| they were talking today about the possibility of the Red sox trading stephen drew they were saying they don't need him and there are other needs that are more pressing. really, soo in their minds I guess a left side of the infield of bogarts and .....brock holt?? will get you to the playoffs?? holt has been hot, but I really think there is a reason why he isn't a full time player and that if they leave him there at third it will become evident. | |

I don't know that they had any agreement, it was sports radio guys talking that they should trade him and try to get a bat or somethin. I really don't see them trading him at this point, they would have to pay alot of the ridiculous salary they paid to come back. Plus it would really make them look dumb for signing him in the first place. any team that wanted him just had to wait until the middle of june when the draft pick portion was eliminated and then sign him for what he's worth, about 4-6 million a year. he's getting almost 10 million to play from june to sept.

I know, they really need some kind of punch in the lineup though, sizemore JBJ and Gomes are a pretty week outfield as far as i'm concerned. having nava drop off the face of the earth like he did opened a huge hole in the outfield, as well as victorino not being able to stay healthy. I guess i shouldn't complain too much, they lost 3-2, lackey wasn't great, but he was good enough, if they could hit they would be fine

I'm not sure they are going to want to go over it. Tough Sh*t, go over it! that';s waht most fans say, but they have been pretty hard lined about NOT going over it, I imagine they will if they feel they have a legitimate shot at the playoffs, if not they will ride out the year on the laurels of last year, keep their prospects and work in the offseason to sign any philly that isn't over 35, there must one or two of them....right???

| The Phillies announced that they’ve signed right-hander Jason Marquis to a minor league deal. T he 35-year-old veteran is a client of ACES. Marquis underwent Tommy John surgery last July but said a few months later that he didn’t intend for that operation to be the end of his career. He’s been working out for teams of late, recently throwing his fastball between 88 and 90 mph in an audition for the Reds. Need a pitcher? | |

i still want to know why he wasn't ejected after HITTING A SECOND BATTER AFTER BOTH TEAMS WERE WARNED!!! I have never seen a pitcher, after the teams were warned, not get immediately ejected after hitting another batter, hell I have seen pitchers get ejected for coming in too tight after teams were warned, workman didn't even hit anyone. I too smell BS.

July 25th in tampa. That whole game was a joke, to lose 3 managers and a pitcher, and the team that started the whole thing doesn't get one person ejected. There will be blood next time they play. as a fan, it's great Tv though

| If you guys need an outfielder you should look into Marlon Byrd - he's actually having a decent season and doesn't seem to have lost a step in the outfield either. We have him in right and he's the best we've had there in years (not that that's saying much). batting about .285 with 8 or so HR's - only $8mil/year
I'm resorting to selling off my own players. I can see Lee (if he recovers) and even Hamels leaving in July.
