We also have Polk in that position. They turned to him a lot towards the end of the season.

You play a 3-4 defense, you can never have enough linebackers, also it reunites him with Chip Kelly. You guys cleared 37 million in cap space with all your moves. I think you will be active in the draft and free agency

I'm sure they will be active - Chip does love his Ducks. And I can't complain about what he's done so far. They went from worst to first.
And the defense is def in need of some better pieces. They are still a little swiss-cheesey at times.

well, I am starting to not believe in Chip. Now Foles is gone, Maclin is heading to KC and free agent's that were going to sign are going elsewhere due to "concerns". I guess so.
I have no idea what's going on. Unless he's selling the entire team to have Mariotta, who, I've heard is NOT a guarantee for success, stand out there by himself.

Mariota isn't, he's a product of the system there. He doesn't have the arm strength or the accuracy to be a starter in the NFL immediately. He's no Andrew Luck. Maybe if he sits on the bench and works on things he might be a starter, but in my opinion he isn't ready quite yet for the NFL. Also Gore was supposed to sign there and now he's looking at other offers.

Gore signed with the Colts, I have no idea what the Eagles are doing, why trade 1 often injured QB for another one? I don't think the Eagles get Mariotta, I think he will be a Bear. But I agree with Rob, he is the product of his system

That explains mark Sanchez for two more years.

the jets are gonna get mariotta, and trade geno to the bears
I agree with rob, mariota isn't luck or wilson even, he needs to sit on a bench for a year or two and learn how to be an NFl quarterback.

if this doesn't work out, Kelly is going to be chased out of Philly with torches and pitch forks
The natives are already restless and we're what? 15 hours into free agency?

And they trade for Sam Bradford. I like Bradford, but they get a guy who has played like 7 games in the last two seasons, and Kiko Alonzo who is coming off a torn ACL. These moves by Kelly, to me, are very questionable. I know they're going after Murray, and as a Cowboys fan I would like to see him back, but he is a guy coming off of 500 touches including catches.

Truth be told, he can go. He was asking for about $8 mil a year, we offered him $5. He wouldn't come off so JJ (who I hate, Jerry Jones by the way, not our JJ) let him seek a contract elsewhere. Nobody is lining up to pay him that much, although the Raiders and the Jags have reportedly come close. For that kind of money let him go. Ryan Mathews hasn't officially signed, or we can draft Gurley or Tevis Coleman, and use Randle and Dunbar. I hate overpaying for FA's.

If the Eagles sign Murray to that high of a contract it is a mistake. He has only ever finished 1 season healthy and statistically speaking, whoever led the league in rushes always has a decline the next year. The Eagles have baffled me this off season. If you guys miss the playoffs again you will probably be looking for a new coach.

No one around here understands either.
At the end of last season I thought that all they needed to do is fill in some holes on defense, maybe sure up the O-line. I did not expect a full blown rebuild. I really didn't think a quarterback change was necessary. Foles had too many turnovers but while he was playing, our offensive line had holes due to injury.
They traded Shady to free cap space - to sign a Cowboy? No sense at all.

I don't follow football that closely but I do know who Jerry Jones is - he's the guy whose leg our governor was humping

apparently it is a done deal: this is all the info that's out so far
The expected deal is worth $42 million over five years with $21 million guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen. That is $5.5 million less than the Bills reportedly guaranteed LeSean McCoy.

I like Murray but I didn't want to overpay for him. He's only had one healthy season and he has a fumbling problem. I think what Philly is paying for him is too much, given those problems.

until 2 weeks ago I didn't know we needed one!
Evidently Tebow will NOT be signing after all.
